Kindle Fire Review

The announcement of the new Kindle Fire rocked the world of e-readers today.

While the more geekie, techie consumers were keen on knowing the Kindle fire specs and were quickly doing a Kindle Fire vs Ipad2 comparison, what really caught the attention of probably millions of people all over the world was that the Kindle fire tablet costs freakin' $199.

Yes! $199! Forget that it doesn't have any camera like the Ipad2 (which if I remember it right was everyone's beef when it was not available in the IPAD1!!!)... This one costs $199! Nothing else matters.

After all, all we really need is a tablet (although Jeff Bezos doesn't call it a tablet but a service) where we can read books, watch movies, listen to music and play Angry birds while in the toilet! And that is what the Kindle Fire is all about.

The Kindle Fire may not duly compete with the features of the Ipad2, but I think this e-reader is going to be just as big as all the other Kindle readers previously released.

Kindle Fire Vs. Ipad2

Can't help but compare the two

Although Jeff Bezos refuses to call the Kindle Fire a tablet, we can't help but compare it with the IPAD2. At face value, for lack of a better word, the Kindle Fire does seem to compete with IPAD2 anyway.

It does many of the things that IPAD2 offers and ultimately, your choice of whether to buy the Kindle Fire or not depends on how much you value the IPAD2 features which are not in the Fire.
