How to Publish Your Blog on the Amazon Kindle Ebook Reader
See the picture? That's my May 21st blog post on my Kindle. Pretty cool, huh!
Publishing a blog isn't quite as exciting as publishing a full-length novel, but publishing a blog and having it listed in the Kindle Store is a great place to start. Or maybe you have published a book and want your fans to be able to keep up with your writing. If you own a blog, why not offer a blog subscription for sale in the Kindle store at Amazon.com so people can read it anyplace, anywhere, anytime?
Read on to learn what it takes and how to publish your blog on Kindle.
My Blog Listing in the Kindle Store on Amazon.com
This is what the listing looks like online.

Why would someone pay to read a blog on Kindle?
If you're out and about and carry your Kindle, no matter what time of day your favorite blog is updated, you can open your Kindle and read the latest entry.
Kindle version blogs include the full text of each blog post plus its images. Never miss another picture!
Since you can shop in the Kindle store directly from your Kindle, you can even subscribe to the newest, hottest blog on the go and start reading in less than a minute.
Remember, all Kindle blogs come with a 14-day free trial.
How to Publish Your Blog for Kindle and List it in the Kindle Store
Follow these simple steps.
- The rss feed address of your blog.
- The blog title, tagline, and description.
- A screenshot of the blog (minimum 800 x 600 px).
- An image of the masthead or banner (maximum 430 x 50 px).
- The best keywords to help people find your blog in the Kindle store.
- Your bank account number (to receive your commissions)
After you've gathered this information, go to the Kindle blogs page in the Kindle store
After you've opened your account, follow the easy, one-page directions to set up your blog listing. Look in the right-hand column for additional information on image sizes, etc.
After completing the form and uploading your images, make sure you read the Terms and Conditions that you will be agreeing to. Check the box, save your information, then generate the blog preview. That will show you how your blog will appear on Kindle's screen. If you're satisfied with what you see, click "Publish blog to Kindle."
Your blog and its information must be approved, then the complete setup may take 24 to 48 hours. Amazon sets the price on your blog at either 99 cents or $1.99. You will earn 30 percent of that cost from each paid subscriber per month. It's as simple as that. Questions? Check the forum; the link is on the upper right of the page.
It's as simple as that!
Really, it's easy to
publish your blog on Kindle.
And yes, it's free!

- Nifty idea for bloggers. I'm afraid mine is too much odds and ends, so doubt anyone would pay to read my ramblings.

- I think you will be surprised that people are willing to pay for good content if it comes on a medium they like to use. People will pay for magazines, newspapers, television, and a number of services if they like the content they receive. Paying a few bucks a month on kindle is not going to be the deterrent, it will be the value of the content they receive.

- I went through all the steps to add one of my blogs to kindle only after adding all my blog info and uploading the screenshot, etc. that this program is only available to publishers in the USA and UK.
I can't select my country from the list or select vochers as a form of payment. It looks like if you don't have an address and bank account for either country, you are excluded. I'll see what happens. Currently it is showing as pending.

- This is the first I had heard of it. Interesting for sure. I saw you on Kindle via someone's lens on here that showed the amazon product. I think it was Nightbear's lens. So I wanted to come to your lenses and hear more about it.

- Using my Susan52 dot com blog as an example (it's pictured above), the tagline is: "It's what happens when you combine the inner child, the giant squid, the sassy alter ego and the baby boomer." The masthead is the top part of the blog that contains the title and the tag line. When the blog is published to Kindle, the masthead shows at the top of the first page on the display. Hope that helps!
