As most people know by now, Kindle
is an Ebook Reader. The first Kindle released by Amazon was November 19, 2007, and they have since added three more Kindle generations; Kindle 2, Kindle 3, and Kindle DX. On July 28th, 2010, Amazon introduced the third generation Kindle with 3G support for use in 100 countries and territories.
Kindle is a software, hardware and network platform for displaying ebooks and other digital media. Users can select or download kindle books via a computer or from the Kindle device itself. When the Kindle was first launched, it had approximately 88,000 digital media choices available for download, and as of July 2010, this number has increased to 650,000, and continues to rise, and as of October 2010 sits at about 725,000.

There are four Kindle Hardware Devices known as "Kindle", "Kindle 2", a third generation device known as "Kindle" but most refer to it as "Kindle 3", and of course, "Kindle DX". You Can Read Your Personal Documents on Your Kindle Reader
Essentially, they say to email your personal documents to your Kindle's @free.kindle.com email address. To get the step-by-step process on how to do this, select the link "Sending Your Documents for Conversion" in section 8.3 of the User Manual for Kindle3.

"How to Copy My Kindle Books to My Second Kindle"

Well, again, the Kindle3 User Manual can be accessed online. You'll find instructions in chapter 10.1 on how to copy your Kindle books to your second Kindle. (Above you'll find links to the Kindle Manuals)
Here's a brief summary of how to do that transfer:
1. First, Press the Home button.
2. Then underline "Archived Items" using the 5-way button, then press the 5-way to select.
3. Then underline the book you want to transfer using the 5-way.
4. Navigate to the right using the 5-way and "add to home" will show up under the title. Press the 5-way to download the Book to your new Kindle.
You are also able to transfer books to your Kindle by visiting the "Manage Your Kindle" page on the Amazon website, using your computer.
From your computer's web browser, open:
http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle (U.S. and other countries)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/manageyourkindle (U.K. customers)
Go to the section entitled "Your Orders." This will list the Kindle books and other items you have already bought. Clicking the "+" sign next to a book title expands the item's window. (Note: The device name is in the upper left corner of the device's Home screen.)
