"First, I must tell you that the Kinect is very accurate. So much so that I was really surprised. I've read people complaining about the Kinect not reacting properly when they played it at the mall. This was probably due to poor set up and calibration from whoever set it up. Rest assured that when you plug in your Kinect at home you will have a great time. It reacts properly and any sort of lag is hardly noticeable at all.
What you will notice is how much fun you and your friends and loved ones are having while playing the Kinect. It's just a different way to play games that truly is quite enjoyable.
I just played Kinnect Adventures with somebody online and had a great time. And when I want to play games like Uncharted 2 and COD, I can pick up a Play Station 3 or Xbox controller and play that, too.

Any Problems With The Kinect?
Three issues to consider BEFORE you buy your Kinect.
There are a few issues but the main problem with the Kinect seems to be with regard to space. The Kinect manual says that you need to be standing at least six feet from the sensor and, if you want to play with two players, you will need even more space. A serious matter, which is not to be taken lightly, because the system simply will not work in less space. Make sure to measure your space BEFORE you buy your Kinect Sensor.
There is some lag when you play between the time you make the move and the time your avatar on the screen copies you, which is pretty consistant with gaming in general. If you expect it to be exact, you will be disappointed. However, the technology is really supposed to be about using your body as the controller rather than about having the system react instantly.
One final item to think about is the type of games you will be playing with the Kinect. The games for the Kinect Sensor are currently aimed at those looking for fun family and/or party play and not for serious gaming.

- can anybody help me iv brought the kinnect sensor.. when setting it up and i get to microphone calibration its say my volume is too low and too turn it up.. when i do the circle keeps on going round and round and when it does finally stop it just says the same thing.. iv called microsoft they told me it must be faulty so i went to buy another one and the same thing is happening.. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!
