Kinetic Wind Sculptures to Inspire the Imagination

Kinetic wind sculptures move with the wind in exciting and creative ways. They capture the imagination as they spin and dance and play. From small wind spinners for children to magnificent robots that walk through the sands, kinetic art inspires and entertains.

Kinetic Sculptures - Creative Art for the Imagination

Wind is a very powerful force. It can create energy and it can destroy buildings. It can also be harnessed in fun, creative ways in the form of kinetic wind sculptures.

Wind sculptures come in many different shapes, size and materials. What is common to all of them is that they use the power of the wind to make them spin, turn, dance or even walk.

Give a young child a pinwheel and it will keep them entertained for hours. It never ceases to amaze them how their breath an make it spin. Show them a whirligig and watch them light up with glee as the characters do their tricks.

Mobiles for Big and Small

Mobiles are another wonderful example of kinetic art.

I have a wonderful Flensted mobile above the fridge in my kitchen. On one side the pieces are painted red, on the other side they are black. The various layers are constantly turning, independently of each other, but in perfect alignment. A true work of art!

It is not surprising that mobiles are hung over babies cribs to stimulate and amuse them.

Theo Jansen is brilliant. I could feel the life in his sculpture. This is my first exposure to kinetic sculpture and it is incredible. Bicycle on the Danube is a hotly contested second though. Awesome lens work there kinetic squid!
