So what do you think about Charles?

- I thought Prince Charles had chosen to be King George VII (or maybe hasn't chosen yet, depending on what you read) since it's one of his middle names.
I think we should try to convince Prince William to be King Arthur. Much cooler than William.

- Royal tradition dictates that all reigning monarchs of the UK take a name, upon their Coronation, of a previous monarch. More recently, our Kings and Queens and their heirs, have chosen names for their children of previous monarchs, presumably so that when they become King or Queen, they will be known by the name given by their parents.
Therefore, Prince Charles will become King Charles III and Prince William will become King William - as we have had previous Kings named Charles and William - King Charles I was the King that us Brits executed following the Civil War in the 1600s and when the monarchy was re-established he was succeeded by his son Charles II, who went on to become one of our best loved Kings.

- Our family didn't come over on the Mayflower on my mother's side (Dunton), we are daughters of England, we don't drink our tea with milk and it is very possible I am the lineage of the true Queen of England, what Prince Charles couldn't find when he came over to the states and married Di, at that time my mother was living, so it would have been her he was suppose to marry. I think its hillarious that after the boston tea party our family records were hidden so well by the government to insure separation from England that Charles couldn't locate us In Las Vegas, Nevada or my cousins if still living in Massachussettes. I am also english on my father's side (Blake). Helen C. Hafen P.O. Box 363905 North Las Vegas, Nevada 89036-7905

As far as Charles being a racist, this just seems ridiculous to me.

- Although Korean born, I am an American through and through, so the royal family doesn't really tease my interest much. It seems the current royal family will live on forever so who really cares. I had more interest in them when Diana was still around. If anything my interest lies more with Parliament and the doings of the PM.

- First class lens, everything we wanted to know about Prince Charles but ... not too keen on him myself. Personally I'd go straight to William if anything should happen to the Queen. Okay he's not the brightest but his image would be good for the UK - Diana's son and all that.

- Crikey Aj! What a very well researched and written lens. Some happy and sad memories came flooding back whilst reading this. I love the posters of the Queen with her infant son. Didn't we get the day off school for Prince Charles' Investiture? And so sad when Diana was killed...those prro boys following behind the hearse broke my heart :(
An excellent lens Aj 5Royal Stars for you!!

- What a great chronology of Charles' life. My husband is four weeks older than Charles and actually resembles him somewhat (in appearance, not in background), so we've always been rather fond of the prince. Excellent lens, worthy of a SquidAngel blessing!

- I found you on the forum and this lens deserves 5 stars. Why you received less is probably just prejudice or some kind of problem with Prince Charles himself. That's not what you are rating, people! Rate the Lens and the work it took to make it. If you don't like the subject, move on!

- I do think he comes across like a bumbling fool most of the time but I also appreciate the environmental work he does and think he'll probably make a more 'hands-on' king in those areas which might just be a good thing.
