Tarzan, Jane and Korak!

The Jungle Family!

I grew up with the Tarzan comics and really liked the stories and the illustrations. I remember drawing Tarzan, Jane and Korak, from the comics when I was a boy of twelve.

It was so fascinating for me the whole idea of growing up in the Jungle, with all the wildlife and the forests, and to live in a tree-house, with your family.

My Dad would take me to see the Tarzan movies, when I was growing up. I think I saw my first Tarzan movie when I was about two years old.

I really enjoyed the movie, "Greystroke Tarzan Lord of the Apes", with Christopher Lambert and Andie McDowell.They were a great Tarzan and Jane couple.

A few of my favourite scenes were the first opening shots in the Jungle.The scene when Tarzan's father is attacked by the Silverback Ape in the treehouse.

The scene when the young Lord Greystroke steps out off the coach, when he returns home to meet his grandfather.Tarzan's rage when he rides the wild horses in the night, when he is lost and wants to return home to the Jungles.

The movie scene in the Museum of Natural History, with the Great Ape who took care of Tarzan as a child.

When will the next generation meet the new silver screen Tarzan, or have they forgotten him after Batman, Spiderman and Superman?
