How to Find A Kissimmee Villa To Rent Close to Disney World

Are you confused about how to choose a Kissimmee Villa? You have probably heard about all the advantages of renting a home close to Disney World - but now you have started looking you have so many options you just need some help with your choices.

You may have heard something about Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills. They are the resorts in Kissimmee which offer vacation homes as close to Disney as you can possibly get. They are the most popular Kissimmee vacation home resorts. But what are they really like - and how do you choose a home? Here is a guide to the very best villas you will find in Kissimmee. Wouldn't you rather spend your time swimming in your own pool, stretching out in your huge luxury home than cramming your family into an hotel room? You can rent a home in Kissimmee for much less than you may think.

So let me tell you the secrets of finding the best Kissimmee Villas. All of the pictures that you see are of the homes on the Windsor resorts that I have to offer - so if you like what you see just ask for more details.

Why Rent a Kissimmee Villa?

You may already have decided that a vacation home is the best choice for your family, but if not then let me show you some reasons why it might be:

Space

An hotel room is probably going to be somewhere around 250 to 400 square feet in size. You can try fitting a family of 4 into this (or even 5 as I do sometimes) - but you may wish you had more room. The solution? Rent a vacation home. My Windsor Resort Homes range in size from around 1850 square feet to almost 3,000 square feet.

Private Swimming Pool

Most guests say to me that one of the best things about renting a vacation home is having your very own private swimming pool. For all members of the family, particularly the children, this is one of the best parts of the vacation. Yes, for some, even better than meeting a Disney Princess.

It Saves You Money

Of course you want great value from your vacation - and renting a home will save you a lot of money compared to an hotel room, particularly if you have a larger party. Rates start at around $1000 per week going up to over $2000 depending on the size and location of the house. That is less than $20 per day per person.

You will also find that many things that you pay for in an hotel are free in a vacation home. Many of my homes have free wireless internet and some have free international phone calls.

You can also eat in some times - saving you hundreds of dollars on restaurant bills. No you don't have to cook, although you may be tempted to in one of my luxury kitchens! Even eating breakfast in the house can save a lot of money and of course precious time that you could be at the theme parks.

Windsor Resort Facilities

All the spectacular facilites on Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills are free for my guests to use. Each resort has excellent facilities including a clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, playgrounds, fitness facility, pool and table tennis tables, video games arcade, sundry store, theme park shuttle (for a fee) and even a movie theater.

So Just How Close to Disney World are Windsor Hills and Windsor Palms?

Let's face it if you are looking for a vacation home in Kissimmee you are probably going to visit Disney World - and you want to know what your driving time is going to be.

You may have seen many homes advertised on the internet using the words 'close to Disney'. Unfortunately what some people advertise as 10 or 15 minutes to Disney just isn't.

So let's have some honesty here! Disney World itself is huge - over 42 square miles in area. Think of a large town and you pretty much have it. It takes a long time to drive across from one end of the Disney World area to another. So unless you stay on a Disney resort right in the middle of it you are not going to get everywhere in 10 or 15 minutes (and even some Disney hotels will have journey times to the parks longer than this).

So how long will it really take you to get to the Disney parks from Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills?

Disney's Animal Kingdom - 7 to 9 minutes

Disney Hollywood Studios - 15 to 18 minutes

The Magic Kingdom - 17 to 20 minutes

EPCOT - 17 to 20 minutes

There are of course other theme parks (!). Driving time to Sea World is around 20 to 25 minutes and to Universal Studios Orlando is around 30 minutes. The Kennedy Space Center has a driving time of around 70 to 90 minutes.

I have driven these routes many times - and these are genuine times. Can you get closer for a vacation home resort? No. Is there a difference between driving times from either Windsor Hills or Windsor Palms? Not much. It depends where you are on the resort but really there isn't that much in it. Both are very close.

Windsor Palms Vacation Homes

Windsor Palms Kissimmee Villas
Here you will find Windsor Palms vacation homes to rent. I have a selection of 4,5 and 6 bedroom homes to rent including a 5 bed conservation view home - one of the most upgraded and sought after on the resort.

Disney Themed Rooms on Windsor Palms

I have young children myself and know how much difference it makes to a vacation if there is some feature of a house which is just for them. This is why I have Disney Princess and Harry Potter themed rooms in my Windsor Palms Conservation View Home. Yes those are real Disney Princess dresses on the wall!

Windsor Hills Kissimmee Villas

If you are looking for a home on Windsor Hills I have a 4 bed and a 6 bed home to offer.

Kissimmee Villas With Games Rooms

Many of the Kissimmee Villasthat I offer now have games rooms. Most have pool table, foosball and air hockey. In my 5 bed Windsor Palms conservation view house (pictured) I also have a play kitchen and play workbench - I have young children and found that this was the only way I got to enjoy a game of pool as my 2 year old needed distracting!

A games room is a great addition to a vacation home, particularly for families visiting with teenagers. Many homes I offer also have games systems such as Play Station 2.

Windsor Hills or Windsor Palms?

Which Windsor Resort Should You Choose?

The names are pretty similar so it gets confusing.

Windsor Palms Resort and Windsor Hills were built by the same developer so they do have similar features - the range of resort facilities is much the same. They each have a community pool and clubhouse, gym, tennis, video games arcade, playground and the movie theater.

Windsor Palms is smaller than Windsor Hills. Some guests prefer the convenience of Windsor Palms as you can walk to all the resort facilities. Windsor Hills is a much larger resort - you have to drive to the facilities from many of the homes. The big draw of Windsor Hills though is definitely the water slide.

Both Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills Resort have condos, townhomes and 4, 5 and 6 bedroom villas.

Which one should you choose? It is all a matter of personal preference. I have some guests who only want to stay on Windsor Palms and others who just want Windsor Hills - some have stayed on both resorts and are happy with either.

Are they both the same distance from Disney World. Pretty much - depending upon where you are staying on each resort there really isn't much in it!
