Kitchen Trash Cans Get No Respect... Until Now!
Kitchen trash cans don't get much respect. Usually, you don't think about them until something goes wrong. The foot pedal breaks. The lid doesn't open all the way. The plastic bag rips when you take them out of the cans. And you realize you need arms the length of a basketball player to clean the darn thing.
And then there's the "what do we do with this monstrosity?" Lots of people try to hide them in the cabinets, but opening cabinets doors, pulling out the trash can and then pushing it back can get old very, very fast.
Like I said, kitchen trash get no respect, but we need them. So what do we do?
Well, we try to determine what our needs and wants are for a trash can and find the one the best meets those needs. It can be a lot of work, but don't worry. I've already done some of the legwork for you. In this lens you find the top five kitchen trash cans in three categories. Yeah, three. Whatever happened to a "trash can is a trash can?"
There are "foot pedal kitchen trash can," that are really old school can brought up to date and totally new school with "touchless kitchen trash cans." And then my personal favorite and very, very old school, "wooden kitchen trash can."

Call me "old school," but I love the look of wooden kitchen trash cans. Now, that's probably because my kitchen decor is more on the cottage/country style and stainless steel just wouldn't look right. Unfortunately, wooden kitchen kitchen trash can are hard to come by. At least, kitchen trash cans that are well made and get a lot of recommendations. That's why you'll only find three here that I feel are good enough to present.
