Knight Rider KITT and Michael Knight

Do you remember this series from the 1980's?

K.I.T.T. - the talking car that could drive itself, the personality, sarcasm, and affection put forth from a sleek black sports car just captured your attention. Knight Rider was created by Glen A. Larsen, and starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a former police officer turned into a private crimefighter who after plastic surgery was given a new face, and a new name, and the car, KITT as his partner. William Daniels provided the voice for Kitt, and Knight Industries was presented by Devon Miles (played by Edward Mulhare) and Bonnie Barstow (played by Patricia McPherson) who traveled around the country in a black semi that provided a mobile base for Michael and Kitt.

After the series ended, there were a couple of made for TV movies re-visiting Knight Rider, centering on KITT, called "Knight Rider 2000" and "Knight Rider 2010" in the early 1990's. There was also another TV series called "Team Knight Rider" in the late 1990's.

The newest incarnation is "Knight Rider", a two-hour movie event appearing on NBC starting on February 17, 2008. I'll be watching it - will you?

    I still watch the classic Knight Rider on Hulu.com. I still cannot get over what that car can do. I know its fiction but still I would love to have a car like that! I have never brung myself to watch the new one. Thank you for sharing! :)

    I had a bit of a crush on him when I was younger, grew up watching the show.... love the original, can't stand the new ones - Val Kilmer voicing KITT? no, no, no, no, no, no and no! The best episodes in my mind were Trust doesn't rust, and KITT Vs KARR!
    Wish Mr Hasselhoff could kick the booze!

    I LOVED Michael Knight. 25 years ago he was a gorgeous!! Now he is just an old drunk.....
