What is 'Kleeneze'?

Kleeneze is a home-shopping company with more than 85 years of service under its belt and an annual turnover in excess of £100 million. It is one of the few major British companies to have made a profit in every single year that it has been trading, and its parent company is a FTSE 250 company. Kleeneze's distributors are self-employed and are responsible for delivering and collecting the company's catalogues, handling the orders and delivering the goods. Kleeneze distributors can also promote themselves to team leader by recruiting other distributors.

What is a Gold Distributor?

Why would I want to be one?

A Gold Distributor in Kleeneze is somebody whose orders, including the orders of their downline, total at least 7500 bonus points (or approximately £8820) in a four week period. Achieving this level will mean that you'll qualify for a 24% bonus according to the wholesale value of the goods you've ordered in addition to the basic 21% commission that every Kleeneze distributor receives as soon as they join.

There are people who actually reach Gold Distributor status by simply retailing. If somebody personally placed £8020 of orders with Kleeneze in a single 4 week period they would earn:

- 21% Commission: £1684
- 24% Personal bonus: £1260

TOTAL: £2944 ish

However, this method means that you are putting an exhausting amount of effort into your business. You will be required to place orders averaging £286.00 per day for 28 days in order to retail this amount by yourself. Furthermore, should you need to stop working due to an unfortunate event such as sickness or injury, your payment will stop altogether.

Instead, you should try and reduce the amount of personal retail that you are required to do by building a downline. By doing this, then you can rely on the bonus income if you're unable to put your catalogues out. Indeed, the easiest way to sponsor yourself to gold is to recruit people into your team and teach them to each place orders of £250.00 per week. This will mean that nobody will be required to pay any postage fees, every distributor will earn at least the minimum 10% bonus and your earnings should reach at least £1200.00 to £1500.00 every 4 weeks. Finally, you will only need to recruit 9 people who do the above to get to Gold Distributor status!

However, there is no limit to the number of people you can have in your downline and a bigger team will most certainly increase your income. For example, if you were to recruit nineteen people into your team and each one of these people placed an order of £1,000 (£250 per week) and you did the same. You'd earn:

- 21% commission: £210
- 24% personal bonus: £153.50

TOTAL: £363.50

Your downline would each earn:

- 21% commission: £210
- 10% personal bonus: £64

TOTAL: £274.00

However, Kleeneze would have actually allowed a total bonus 'pot' of £3071.50. Since you've only claimed £274.00 of that bonus and your downline has claimed £1216.00 of that bonus (19 distributors x £64 each) there would be £1581.00 left unclaimed in this 'pot'. This money is given to you, the Gold Distributor! Your total earnings would therefore be:

£1581.50 + £363.50 = £1945 in just four weeks!

Therefore, to become a Gold Distributor and earn more money, all you need to do is increase the size of your downline and teach them each how to collect £250.00 worth of orders each week from their customers. Follow this article to find out how to recruit people and significantly up your income!

10 Top Advertising Tips to get you to Gold!

Free and cheap methods to get yourself known

It is possible to purchase expensive leads (the contact details of people who might be interested in catalogue distribution or MLM) from companies who collect people's details in surveys about their interest in working from home opportunities and similar methods. However, this is usually expensive and it is also risky because some companies sell the details to more than one distributor and some companies are not careful about the information they collect. I.e. they just sell you random people's details who haven't shown any interest in catalogue distribution or MLM.

It is also possible to simply place "Wanted" advertisements in your local or national newspaper, and with job recruitment agencies. However, this is also expensive and it can cost as much as £2000 to place an advertisement in National Newspaper for just a few days.

Instead of resorting to such expensive methods, I would recommend trying the list of methods that i've compiled below as these are either free or require minimal investment! I've rated the methods according to their cost: Free, Minimal (£1-£10), Moderate (£10 - £20) and High (£20+).

1.) Try to place at least 10 adverts a week in local shops - CHEAP

This is a very easy method as you can simply place the adverts as you do your shopping or as you're out and about doing other things. Most shops have a customer notice board and will not object to you placing an advertisement for free. Some shops will even allow you to place your shop card in their staff rooms.

Plus, you can either print off your own advertisements or you can order professional looking shop cards from companies such as Vista Print. If you keep your eye out then every few weeks Vista Print reduces the price of its postcards, which are usually £14.99 for 100, to free - these make great shop cards and you only need pay a few quid for shipping. This is excellent value and probably works out cheaper than printing your own in the long run.

2.) Wear the badges! - FREE

Kleeneze often produce badges that are given away for free in the conference packs. People normally just ignore these, but if you choose to wear them these are a good icebreaker and attract attention whilst you're out and about. The badges say things like: "I'm going to Cyprus for FREE. Ask me how."

3.) Place a "Wanted" flyer in your catalogue packs. - CHEAP/MODERATE

Purchasing, or printing your own, wanted flyers is also a good way to advertise with very little extra effort. Simply put the flyers in with your catalogue packs and that way you are distributing as many flyers each week as catalogues with minimal extra effort! Plus, customers who are already aware of Kleeneze make great prospects.

4.) Use internet advertising - FREE

Advertising on sites such as Gumtree and Craigslist is a free way of generatating leads quickly. Between February 2009 and June 2009, I placed one advertisement a week on my local Gumtree board and received in excess of 80 leads!

5.) Talk to your family and friends - FREE

Ask your friends and family if they know anybody looking for an extra income. This way, you're giving them the option to find out more information without admitting to the fact that they do need money. They will either say:

"Yes. Tell me more" - In which case you can tell them about the Kleeneze opportunity.

"Maybe. Tell me more." - Either, they're curious to know what you're talking about or they're in need of money themselves and are too embarrassed to come out and say it straight off the bat.

"No." - In which case you can tell them that if they hear of anybody they should let you know.

6.) Wear T-Shirts - CHEAP

You can get T-Shirts printed and delivered for less than a tenner at VistaPrint, and if you wear them whilst your out and about you will attract people to ask you about your opportunity. You might also get new customers. If you'd prefer a Kleeneze t-shirt, then Kleeneze offer them for just £6.99.

7.) Make yourself a website - FREE/CHEAP

There are a number of places that will allow you to make a website for free and this is a good way to get your information out there. Its also free to list your website with places like google. You could even make a squidoo page like this for free at:

http://www.squidoo.com/lensmaster/referral/aethereality

8.) Talk to two people a day - FREE

Every day you meet people. In the shops, in the street, the postman, the milkman etc Why not talk to them about the Kleeneze opportunity? Set yourself a goal of speaking to two people each day about the Kleeneze opportunity.

9.) Thanks for your order DVDs - CHEAP/MODERATE

Order some of the opportunity DVDs from Kleeneze and, as you are collecting your catalogues, post them through the doors of the people that have ordered from you. The DVD needs to say something on it to the effect of:

"Thanks for your order. If you're in need of money, look no further. Earn £400 - £600 a month with Kleeneze. Please take a look at this 15 minute presentation of the Kleeneze opportunity. I will collect this DVD when I deliver your order."

Most people will give the DVDs back when you deliver their orders.

10.) Kleeneze presenter - FREE/CHEAP

Have a folder, notebook or presentation wallet set aside for when you go to see potential distributors (prospects). In it you should keep copies of your cheques and the cheques of your upline and copies of newspaper articles in which Kleeneze have been featured. This will seem more professional and will increase your credibility.

Other ways to advertise your way to Gold!

Effective, but more expensive methods of advertising.

1.) Business Cards

Business cards are a great way of getting your opportunity known to the world and are quite cheap to produce, but large quantities are required to see a result. Take a look at VistaPrint (250 for Free) and check out places like eBay for cheap Business Cards. Then try distributing them in imaginative ways:

- Cards on Cars

As you're walking through car parks, place some of your cards on the windscreen. Please note that some public car parks will be monitored and some councils do not approve of this method.

- Hot Pockets

Staple, or otherwise attatch, two business cards together with the information on them facing outward. Then, place business cards inside for people to take with them and leave the 'Hot Pocket' in bus stops, toilets, benches and other public locations.

2.) Join an advertising pool

Find other distributors, perhaps your up or downline, who are interested in advertising and split the cost of a National/Regional newspaper advertisement between you. These types of advertisements generally generate a large number of leads so there should be plenty to split.

3.) Place a car sticker or magnetic car sign on your car

Use your car as your mobile billboard by placing either a permanent car sticker or a removable magnetic sign on your car to advertise the opportunity no matter where you are. You can usually get stickers and magnetic car signs for between £10 and £50. There is also a special offer at VistaPrint.

Make the most of your upline and the headoffice!

Your upline is there to help you so make sure you take advantage of that fact, and if you find that you're leaving your upline behind then don't be afraid to approach somebody else in the business. Read our top tips below for hints on how to make the most of your upline:

1.) Sizzles

If your upline doesn't already hold sizzles then talk to them about it - host one together! Keeping your team motivated is as important as keeping yourself motivated, and this is a cheap and very effective way to do it. Hold the sizzle at your home and invite your team members to come along.

It's a fantastic way to share useful hints and tips too!

2.) National Conferences

3.) Organise a group competition

A good way to boost your retailing is to host a group competition for your downline, if you struggle to organise this then perhaps your upline will help as it will help their team turnover too! Good ideas for competitions include: Highest retail, most improved and most new distributors sponsored. You could offer catalogues, order forms, motivational books or even Kleeneze products as a prize for the winner and the boost in retail should cover this.

4.) If your upline holds business opportunity meetings then you should try to go along every so often, most distributorships host these for free or with a couple of quid charged to cover the room cost. You can also help your own sponsoring by sending invites to prospects to come along and watch the presentation.

5.) Take photographs at meetings and events, this gives you something to show your prospects when you're talking to them about our support network and distributors.

6.) Introduce new distributors to your upline and successful people within the business so that they can see how well it works and get motivated!

7.) Use EzeReach!

The phone system set up by Kleeneze is a fantastic source of news and information. You can easily and quickly send a message to your upline and to your downline. If you aren't sure about how to use it already, check with your upline!

TIP: Whilst at group meetings take along a notebook and pen and note down anything that you might find useful such as kleeneze facts and figures or retailing sponsoring/retailing tips. You can also make a note of anything you want to discuss so you don't forget.

Personally improve your chances of getting to Gold!

Subtle changes in your life that will help you succeed!

Some people are there own worst enemy, and without a little prompting in the right direction will be accidentally ruining their own chances of success. Take a look at this list and see if there is anything you can do to help yourself!

1.) Keep positive

Moaning will not help you get anywhere in this business. Instead try to find positives in everything you do as this will help you keep motivated. For example:

- Somebody didn't return your catalogue? GREAT! You are one one drop closer to customer base and that's one less house to visit.

- People returned your catalogue without even looking? Fantastic! They gave it you back and you can give it to somebody else that might look.

- You did a presentation but they didn't join? Oh well! You've had a chance to practice and improve your presentation techniques and they'll keep you in mind for the future.

2.) Personally retail £1,000 per month or more!

You can't expect your downline to do what you're not doing themselves. By showing them how easy it is to retail £1,000 per month you are encouraging them to get out there and do it and you will have the income cheques to prove the earning potential.

3.) Dress for success.

Treat Kleeneze like you would any other business and you will be treated professionally. When going to see prospects wear a suit or smart casual clothes and do the same if you choose to attend company meetings.

4.) Keep records!

This comes into play in a whole host of different ways:

- Remembering which houses order from you regularly, means that you won't forget to leave them a catalogue and will enable you to work out how much you receive, on average, from each street in orders.

- Remembering which houses don't return catalogues means that you won't lose so many catalogues and therefore save money and have the chance to give it to somebody who might be more interested.

- Keep records of your 'leads' and every few months send them some new information if you have their email address as their circumstances might have changed and they might decide to join.

- Keep records of your downline. Remembering what information you've already given them means you can keep track of what they might not know and what they might need to know. Keeping track of their progress means you can help them to improve and remembering the little things like birthdays, holidays and upcoming events means that you will stay in their good books!

5.) Set yourself a goal and some stepping stones.

Where do you want to be in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years? How are you going to get there? Set yourself a goal and each day do at least one thing to help you achieve it. This could be as small as sending an email to your downline, posting a free internet ad or making a phone call.

Stay motivated!

As outlined above, one of the best ways to stay ahead in this business is to stay motivated. In order to ensure that this happens, try the following:

- Hold team events
- Set yourself goals
- Read motivational books
- Listen to motivational tapes
and
- Watch motivational DVDS

Here are some examples of my favourite motivational materials:

Learn, learn, learn!

To improve your chances of success you need to learn and progress and the only way to do this is to actively attend meetings, read or speak to your upline. But, this doesn't need to be expensive!

Most Kleeneze sponsors hold 'sizzles' with their immediate downline which are free of charge. Why not go once a month? This way, you can share tips and receive help and advice from your sponsors. Plus, its not all work. Being a Kleeneze distributor can be a lonely business, so get to know other people who are distributors and socialise a bit.

The Kleeneze conferences are fantastic. As well as being a motivational tool, they can really boost your business by offering you tips and advice. If you've never been to a conference, why not go? Your first conference is FREE! Plus, if you have any prospects, you can take them along for FREE! The vast majority of prospects that go along to the conferences join the business.

There are hundreds of books about Kleeneze, Network Marketing/MLM in general, catalogue distribution etc and reading these will give you a fantastic insight into ways you can improve your business. You can even turn your car into a 'learning zone' by just listening to motivational CDs, or books on CD in your car!

I've listed some of my favourites below, but if you can't purchase these books, why not try the library?

NOTE: These are books i've actually read and are not just links designed to increase revenue!

My personal fave is:

Don Failla - The 45 second presentation

Fantastic book that teaches you how to successfully build a downline with presentation techniques that won't steer you wrong. Are you a gold, silver or empty ship? (You'll know what i've mean when you've read the book!)
