Any merchant worth his or her salt spends thousands of dollars on their affiliate advertising program. This means that they have spent thousands of dollars on development and testing to get their sales pages (the ones you will be using) to be high converting power houses.

All you have to do is send traffic to their sales page and they do all the rest of the work and give you a fat commission! Contrary to popular belief you will NOT need a landing page to pre-sell your customers. You will be sending them straight to the high converting power house of a sales page your merchant spent the money to develop. 100% of your referrals will be reaching the merchants high converting sales page. None will be getting lost at some pre-sell landing page you spent hours to make and money to host.

You need to register a domain name. If you shop around this can be done for less than $10 for the year. Only register the domain, do not purchase hosting or anything else. Make sure of two things when considering a domain. It should be easy to remember and it needs to be a .com, not a .info or .tv or .net or any other confusing extension. Make the domain blend able with your product you are promoting. For example, if promoting AffiliateClass101.com, register and appropriate domain like MyAffiliateClass101.com or GetAffiliateClass101.com

Once you have your domain then forward it to you affiliate link. This is a free service just like when you move and you have your mail forwarded. Your referral will be sent directly to your merchant's high converting sales page!

Now you can spend your valuable time to send traffic to your new domain. You will be wasting no time trying to learn to build landing pages, setting up and paying for hosting accounts, testing and retesting conversion rates or any of the other obligations that come with having your own web site.

I have affectionately named this how to affiliate marketing technique the Newbie Jump Start for it simplicity and ease of use. I'm no Einstein and this technique is not an original idea. Affiliate Marketing with the Clickbank Network is the best place to start if you are new to Internet Marketing. It is easy to use and you can make some extra money promoting one or more of the over 10,000 digital products available. There are Super Affiliates that make $1000s per day with Clickbank. But don't be intimidated because making a modest income is possible for anyone(even you know who...). My first sales were make with the Clickbank Network and now I receive modest checks twice a month, guess what, you can to! Get this and take a tour.

Another way to monetize (make money) the internet and have fun doing it is Build a Niche Store (BANS). This is not necessarily a new idea but recent advances in programming and software is allowing less experienced marketers (like Joe Average) put up a store front that receives a feed from eBay.

This allows you to build your store around any theme as long as the items are being sold on eBay listings. Jewelry, pottery, dolls, knives, cars, atvs, clothes... the list goes on and on only to be limited by your imagination.

You have to become an affiliate with eBay but the arrangement is handled by Commission Junction (CJ) and is practically seamless. You earn 50% of eBay's fees if anyone purchases anything from them for up to 7 days after visiting your BANS. You also get $25 for everyone who signs up for an eBay account (needed to buy on eBay).

Your BANS site also can integrate google adsense and any other affiliate links and banners you wish to display. This allows you a broad platform for monetizing your site.

BANS are not difficult to set up and there is plenty of room for creativity even for the most advanced marketer. Some sites I have seen are just unbelievable, while others are more or less average. Like anything you get out what you put in.

The idea is to get use to building the sites and then build multiple sites on various themes creating multiple streams of income.

Since the BANS program allows you to build unlimited stores, any site after the first only cost you domain name and hosting. Domains are $8 - $15 and hosting can be had for around $10 per month. Some servers allow unlimited hosting and so you can piggy back multiple stores for one monthly fee.

I personally haven't made profit yet, but my Store is only about one month old and has made some money. I see a real potential here and plan to create more BANS sites soon.

The real value here is the support provided by the BANS community. You receive a simple setup guide with the BANS software and also free membership to the BANS forum were others share tips and techniques. Any question I had was solved by looking at previous post by the members. Sort of an online manual! Of course you can also post questions to get help.

There is two separate paths to take when promoting your products, or you could do a combination of the two. One is a form of free advertising and works well but takes time and steady maintenance to implement. The other is quick and effective but cost money and if used improperly can lose you money.

The first and the most preferred for starting out is called "Article Marketing" or more affectionately call "Bum Marketing". The thought is that it is so easy to do and doesn't cost anything that any Bum can do it. The truth is that nothing is free and although Bum marketing doesn't cost $$$ it will cost you your time which is valuable and you could wind up wasting your valuable time if you don't know what you are doing.

The second is Pay-Per-Click advertising or more often called PPC. Major search engines let you bid on specific keywords and then place your relevant ads in front of their search customers on a cost per click basis. You only pay if someone clicks on your ad and is sent to your merchants sales page(or yours if you have one). This is a quick and effective way to launch your advertising campaign but again the downside is if you don't know what you are doing it could end up costing you hundreds of dollars for "window shoppers" who don't buy anything.

If you have read this far you probably realize that in both cases there is a need to "know what you are doing". Isn't that the case with anything?
