Knitting On the Knifty Knitter Circle Looms

The Knifty Knitter circle looms are also referred to as the round looms. There are many patterns available for the circle loom and I've gathered a collection of my favorite free patterns below. Some are my own patterns that I published online, others I've found on the blogs of fellow loom knitters, finally, some are from the Provo Craft website. Provo manufactures the Knifty Knitter looms.

You can knit just about anything on a circle loom. You aren't limited to tube knit only. Blankets, scarves, mittens, and crafts can be made on the circle looms.

Tube knitting on the round loom looks like this. As you work the knit grows from the bottom of the loom. If you knit continuously around, it creates a "tube" of knit

The tube knit of the scarf lies flat as you knit and you can sew the ends closed to create a flat scarf that will not roll on the edges.

Circle Loom Patterns to Make a Hat

Make Your Own Hat on the Knifty Knitter Looms

A popular pattern made on the circle looms is a hat. This free pattern requires 1-2 hours to knit.

Skill Level:
You will need:
*a crochet hook
*a skein of medium weight yarn
*Knifty Knitter Circle Loom in the Extra Large (Yellow) Size for an adult. Petite, or young adults may find the Large circle loom (Green) works best for their size.

Knifty Knitter Circle Loom Hat and Scarf Set

Circle Looms lend themselves to knitting hats, but did you know that you can knit a scarf on the circle loom too? This free hat pattern requires 2-4 hours to knit. The scarf requires an additional 8 to 11 hours.

Skill Level: Intermediate
You will need:
*a crochet hook
*a skein of Wool Ease yarn
*11 inch Knifty Knitter Extra Large circle loom (Yellow)
*a yarn needle

Make Mittens with the Knifty Knitter Circle Looms

After you've made hats and scarves on your circle looms, why not knit someone you love some matching mittens? This mitten pattern can be adapted to fit an adult through a child. It requires 3-5 hours to knit the mittens.

Skill Level: Intermediate
You will need:
*Knifty Knitter Hook
*4 Ply Worsted Weight Yarn
*5 inch Knifty Knitter Circle Loom (blue)
*a Yarn Needle
