This pattern will make a rug using rug yarn, or an afghan using worsted yarn. Make it all one colour or use different colours. It can be made wider or longer. The border gives a checkerboard effect. If you wish, you can make the entire article in the checkerboard pattern. Fringe may be added if you wish.

Since I had a huge assortment of old pattern books which I inherited from my grandmothers (who were both immigrants), I set up shop in the area of crafts.


I have met people from all over the world through my store and will always be fascinated with the ease of speaking to others who are so far away. A far cry from my father's morse code and tower.
