2008 Event Information To be Announced!

The last time I held a knitting event like this, we had people travel as far as 1500 miles to attend. This is a fiber arts event that is for anyone interested in knitting, crochet, weaving, and spinning. Whether you work by hand, loom or machine, all ages and experience levels are welcome!

Please RSVP through the CONTACT ME link on this lens to reserve your spot. There will be a potluck lunch, demonstrations and collection of any items you have knit to share and donate to the charity of your choice. Last time, we had over 80 items to share with those less fortunate, so get busy with your yarn and patterns.

Are You Ready To Knit Your First Sweater On The Machine? Read Sweater 101!

A Reissue Of A Classic Instructional Book For The Bond By Cheryl Brunette

When I first bought my Bond and watched the instructional video, I was amazed by how easily it was explained by Cheryl Brunette. I later bought all her sweater and knitting method videos, many of which are now out of print.

I took these videos with me on BOTH of my Africa trips because of Cheryl's easy, non-threatening approach to teaching machine knitting. So even though we have never met, I feel like she's an old friend.

When I received an actual email from her announcing that she is planning a reissue of her Sweater 101 E-book , I jumped at the chance to share it with all of you.

This book will give you easy step-by-step instructions on how to start, and actually FINISH your first sweater on the Bond or comparable knitting machine.

The sweater pictured above was knit while watching Cheryl's Sweater 101 video!

This is a way cool lens! About 4 or 5 of us gals in my office started knitting socks last year on 2 sets of circular needles. It has been great fun seeing how each of us has made different choices in yarn preference and patterns. I also crochet socks (more like slippers, really) and loved the spinning and weaving parts of your lens, as well.

Wish I could be there. My grandparents were from Ceres. There is even a street named for my grandmother's family (Taylor Road). Keep us posted. ~ Kim
