All things knitting

Ranked #18,310 in Hobbies, Games & Toys, #303,862 overall

Welcome to knittingland!

I LOVE to knit, and am always in the midst of something.  I have had a knitting blog for over a year, and through the blog I have learned new techniques, met friends, and generally just become more fascinated with knitting.  All things knitting.

This lens with be all about knitting.  All types of knitting, knitting and blogging.  I'll include links to some knitting blogs that are not among the "famous," links to yarn stores and suppliers, post book reviews, and anything and everything having to do with knitting.  I'll share what I learn from other knitting bloggers, particular the hot trends that spread like wildfire.

So grab your needles, and get ready to start knitting!

Online Yarn Stores

Where I can often be found, browsing, clicking, and buying.......

Although it's a great idea to support your local yarn store, there are many, many great online yarn vendors. I mean GREAT. These are a few of my favorites, all highly recommended, with great selections, wonderful personal customer service, good deals, and what more could you want? Go forth, and marvel........
Halcyon Yarn
Halcyon Yarn has an extensive selection of natural yarn and fibers along with books, videos, and equipment for knitting, spinning, weaving, and other fiber arts. My absolute first choice for laceweight yarns; they carry all 45 colors of Zephyr. They also put out a wonderful catalog, truly drool-worthy.
Jimmy Beans Yarn
A fun site, where I just spent way more time than I should have, looking at the sale items. (Rowan sale, worth checking out!) They also carry some patterns that you really can't find anywhere else - French Girl, for one. Highly recommended!
Kirtland's Yarn Barn
This is one of the Yarn Barns, in Virginia. (The other is in Kansas) The selection here is amazing; also they have great sales. Worth checking out. Great selection of needles, books and supplies. Currently, they are having a pretty great sale of sock yarns...........
Posh Yarn
The website will be back up on February 25th, this is an UK favorite, with the most delectable luxury yarns in the most awesome colors. Sign up for the newsletter, and you'll get notice of her weekly sales.
Curious Yarns
Another great UK find, again the most delicious luxury yarns, in great handdyed colors. I'm currently lusting after some Floss, silk laceweight..........watch for specials and sales.
Knitting Traditions
Beth Brown Reinsel is one of my most favorite classic designers. This is her website, where you can find her patterns, kits, and yarns. She's a master of cables and aran sweaters. Highly recommended if this is one of your passions.
Claudia Hand Painted Yarns
Please feel free to ignore my ramblings and simply enjoy these yarns. Be warned, they are dyed with Peace, Love, Comfort, & Joy; may they be yours.
