Easy Tips for Knitting Mittens

You are here because you either already are or can't wait to get started knitting mittens... and who can blame you? Its a really fun hobby and can save you tons of money!
Let's face it those of us who have children, know how much money we end up spending on mittens if we live in areas of cold weather and long winters. I've got four kids and every year at least one of them ends up ripping or losing their mittens! And, that of course is not even including the mittens that they just "HAVE to have" because they saw it on a tv show or commercial!
My favorite thing to do when knitting mittens is to use yarn from old sweaters socks and hats that we either no longer use or are torn or stained.
This will save you tons of money! And the kids will love it because they'll see their creative mom in action and at the same time learn how to recycle their things and find new uses for them... This is a great lesson for them to learn and carry on in their lives!

Yes, You can Make Money Knitting Mittens...

I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've been asked how I got started making money knitting mittens...
Since I like to share and teach others, let me tell you a little about how it happened.
I have four children and have been a stay at home mom since they were born. It was fantastic to be with them and see them grow up.
Still, I always felt like I had something missing and was not living to my fullest potential. So, I started finding hobbies to exercise my creativity.. That is how I got started knitting mittens.
After starting to knit, I would of course make tons of pieces for my children. My children would wear them to school and then things just started happening.
I was knitting mittens for my children, my nieces and nephews, and their friends for Christmas gifts. Soon enough, the teachers started asking me if I could start knitting mittens for fundraisers. In time, I was knitting mittens for my girls' girlscout troop fundraisers and all kinds of other school events. Eventually, I realized how much my mittens were liked when parents began to call me to ask me if I could knit mittens for them.
I got the ball rolling and I now have a shop of all handmade knitting mittens, sweaters, shawls, booties, and all kinds of other knit items. Starting the business itself was much easier from home and eventually the demand was so big that I actually have a couple of people working with me and a store location!
If you are considering starting a business out of knitting mittens or any other type of knitting, I strongly recommend you read the book that I read.
You can find out more information about the book by clicking on the links on the above paragraphs. It was extremely helpful to me and got me up and running within weeks after I read it for the first time. I now keep it as a reference to go back to with any questions I've got about running the business!
