Knitting World Records

Extreme Knitting Records

Guinness World Records report some crazy things, so I wanted to know what kinds of knitting world records existed. In this lens, you will see the world records for the largest knit hat, largest knitting needles, longest knit scarf and many more cases of extreme knitting.

I don't think I'm about to beat any knitting world records any time soon, but who knows what we could accomplish if we tried!

What is French Knitting?

French Knitting is what I called spool knitting as a kid. You end up with a long icord chain. I'm not sure if this applies to larger loom knitting projects or not, but this kit will help you learn more!

It was a lot of fun reading these statistics - some are just incredible. (I do wonder, though, if that finger-knitter could move his hands at all when he finished. :) )

I often wonder how fast my mom can Knit. I am almost willing to be that she would come close to the world record for the faster knitter per minute. She can create a baby hat in under 10 minutes.
