Knockout Boxing Supplies
Since beginning my boxing fitness routine a few months back, my exercise equipment has begun to gather dust. My boxing supplies currently consist of a heavy bag, a pair of everlast boxing gloves a jump rope and a stopwatch. Their combined purchase price was just about half of what I paid for my elliptical trainer and yet my workouts have never been better. In three months my strength, coordination and balance have all increased. My weight has decreased dramatically (At 5'11 I weighed 240 lbs and was carrying 30.3% bodyfat). I currently weigh 205 lbs and have lost 7 inches off my waist.
It all started when I was complaining to my next door neighbor that I wanted to get in shape but everything I've tried just bored the crap out of me. He is an amateur boxer in the military. He and his wife invited my wife and I over one night for coffee. While there he showed me his home gym in his basement. His gym mainly consisted of boxing supplies (He had a couple heavy bags, a speed bag, boxing gloves and weighted training gloves), as well as a treadmill and weight bench. He asked me if I'd like to start training with him (and he acted like it would be a big favor to him rather than the other way around, lol). I told him I was onboard and we started setting up training dates right there and than starting the following day.
For the first time since high school I really look forward to each and every workout. I still weight train and I occasionally use my elliptical trainer but my main fitness routine revolves around punching the heavy bag. There's just something about hitting that bag that gets me going. My workouts are fairly short but very intense and aggressive (must have some hidden violent tendencies, lol), and when I'm finished I feel charged up and ready to take on my day. No other workout has ever made me feel so alive.
A lot of people don't realize all the benefits a good solid boxing workout can give. I've become so passionate about boxing fitness that I created a blog in the hopes of inspiring others to get started.
If you decide that boxing for fitness is the kind of fitness routine you'd enjoy, you'll want good equipment. Knockout Boxing Supplies has all the brand names you know like everlast equipment, century fitness, tko boxing and they have wonderful prices.
