My take on it
I bought this machine back in November 2005. Yep, I was one of those that couldn't wait to my hands on the first next generation machines.
I have had a few games on the system, including Halo 3. I have also had the Red Ring of Death too, but only once so far.
Overall, I enjoy the machine and the controller feels solid and comfortable.

My take on it
I was a little slow on getting this one. To be honest, I didn't feel the jump between 5th and 6th was big enough. I was the minority though.
My favorite game for this was Grand Theft Auto, Vice City.
It had a built in DVD player too, but I never really used it for that.

My take on this
I never own this one. I own all the others in this generation though. I'm kind of glad I didn't get it. It was expensive, didn't really have that many games, and didn't sell well.
Some of the games it did have were the best of the generation, like Soul Caliber.
Still, the machine flopped, and the console maker dropped out of the machine market after being a leaded for 3 generations.

My take on this
I made the mistake of buying this machine.
It was the first bad choice I had made. It was also the first time I had bought a machine based on one killer app. That game turned out to be Aliens Vs Predator. I really did enjoy that game but only owned 4 other after that. A huge expense.
This was the last machine made by this company.
The tides were turning towards the big 3.

My take on this
This console was created by Trip Hawkins of E.A fame. Personally I neither owned, or wanted this console. I do remember the Jaguar and the console being in a war of their own.
Trip had this idea that I guess took the VHS / DVD idea of one format of console with multiple manufactures making their own system. Sure Panasonic and others joined in by the machine never really took off. I guess that's why there was never a version 2.

My take on this
I quite enjoyed this machine. It was the first console I had owned in quite a while. You see I was more into the Amstrad CPC 464, or BBC micro's for a while.
I enjoyed the instant load times, and catchy games that didn't required pushing WADX or arrow keys just to move.
Since getting this machine, I have never looked back and been a faithful console owner ever since.

I played a friends one of these are wasn't blown away at all. I guess the games were no better than what I was playing on home computers.
Still, my friend got a lot of fun out of it.

My take on this
My first console. I was about 7 years old and I remember my times playing this very well even though it was 30 years ago.
I had so many favorites. this was also the first system of any kind I had owned and I love of electronics began. (on a side note, I am now a computer support tech, and I think I knew I wanted something to do with computers, or consoles even at that young age.)
PS: You can buy a remodel of this in stores now, I totally recommend it for those with young kids. Let them find out how mum or dad get into gaming.
