Kodak Zx5 Review, Not So Good Compare to Zx3?

Now after been some months away, I have found that this Kodak Playsport zx5 has fetched so-so ratings compare to its first generation Kodak zx3. May we know why? Here are some what I found :

Camera freezes almost every 5 minutes,and then after that it's locked up and it can't turn off. After searching for a while on the net, I found that Kodak knows about this problem and they have issue a firmware update which can prevents the camera from freezing and locking up itself.

It is not easy to replace the battery (non removable)

Not so good if use in low light condition, but this can be avoided if you just steady while shooting the video, and you can get much better result.

It uses the micro HDMI cable (type D).

You need to buy SD or SDHC memory cards , however the camcorder is not compatible with the new SDXC memory cards. This shouldn't be a problem,as the video clips created by the Kodak Zx5 aren't that large, then a few 16GB SDHC cards should be okay for most people for recording around 1 hour.

I found out that most people got problems using of Class 10 SDHC. This issue has been fixed with the firmware update (please see link above). Just please read the instruction carefully in order to have smooth upgrade.

Despite all the problems, actually Kodak Playsport zx5 is not a bad product, still they have pros features such as macro mode has been added, and sharing your videos is a lot easier with its one share button.
