- We LOVE Koko and have kept track of her over the years. This is a wonderful charity. We have the plush Koko - very nice quality. The book Koko's Kitten is lovely. Please, everyone, donate to The Gorilla Foundation - Koko.org (linked above) so they can finish the Maui reserve.
Great site - I rated it 5 stars. Looks like you are well on your way to the 100 club. Contact me if you need anything - I made the 100 Club last time around :-).

- I first heard of Koko and saw that photo of her holding the kitten years ago, in college, and just fell in love with her.

- I remember when they were first teaching Koko and the first reports of Koko and her kitten. What a beautiful story.
Thank you for joining us on A Walk in the Woods and don't forget to add your lens to the appropriate plexo.

- I absolutely love Koko. I was running through the different ASL lenses and came across this one. I am a home daycare provider who teaches ASL to infants, toddlers and preschoolers. If a monkey can do it..... I know babies can. Come and check out my page Sign Language in Daycare School

- Thank you for putting this lens together about Koko. She is such a special and amazing gorilla. I remember when she got the kitten. Great info and I love that you included info on American Sign Language. My Grandmother and Grandfather on my Mother's side both used it. I know a little (very little) as we didn't grow up around them. Bear hugs, Frankie
