The Lensography of NanLT
I am a RocketMom and now heading up a group of Stay at Home RocketMoms.
At the end of June, 2009 I became a Giant Squid! I was absolutely thrilled to be granted this honour.
Here you will find the complete list of everything I have written here about subjects relating to all of these aspects of myself.
So, grab a cuppa. And enjoy your time browsing my lenses.
The Most Difficult Lens I Wrote
about post-natal depression and PTSD after giving birth
Probably the single most important lens I have written thus far is Through hell and back again, my journey through depression . My look at my own problems with post natal depression and post-traumatic stress disorder after birth.I believe that women need to know that depression after pregnancy and birth isn't unusual. You won't lose your child for seeking help. And yes, help is out there.

Lensography of a Pagan Witch

A to Z of Herbs and Spices

A tall claim, but true. It was because of spices that our world is what it is today. Lands were explored, currencies developed, trade between cultures established all in the name of spices. Today, spices are readily available all over the world. Wh...
I'm glad I found Squidoo
I have caught the Squidoo bug. Friends have told me that I have a knack for explaining things in simple, easily understood ways and I am utilizing that skill here in my writing. I am also finding a knack at combining colours and colour combinations that I never knew I had that I am using to full effect as I create lenses.I have a wide variety of interests, but my main focus lately has been on spiritual growth. I am a Pagan witch and have been for a long number of years. I also have been studying and using energy healing techniques for a long time.
After that, I love cooking. You can expect many more recipe and cooking lenses over time.
Finally, I intend to put together some simple lenses covering witchcraft and spellcasting as I practice it. I don't tend to give out spellsthough because I believe that they are much more effective if the person wanting the work (the one with the emotional investment in it in other words) does the work.
Cooking and Recipes
Here are lenses I have written on cooking and food. Most of what I cook is simple, basic foods. Things that aren't necessarily going to look pretty on a plate, but will be good for you and fill you up.-
British Roast Pork Dinner

So what do I do with that leftover roast beef?
-
When buying a beef joint to roast it is always best to buy one about two times bigger than what you think you need. By doing this, you can easily get 2 or 3 full meals from one joint of beef. A larger cut of meat may cost a bit more, but by the time...

What were my cooking influences growing up?
I learned most of my cooking skills from watching my grandmother. She was a farmer's wife and raised 9 children back in Kansas.I have honed my skills as a cook over the past decade cooking for my family. We eat the majority of our meals at home, made from scratch.

How I create my lenses
I am a kitchen witch. This means that the spells I create are done using basics I can find in my kitchen and sometimes in the garden. I create based upon intuition and experience, and knowledge about interactions between different ingredients.Cooking is done in much the same way. I may write my recipes down, but I never create them the same way two times in a row.
A lot of times, an idea for a lens will seemingly come out of nowhere. They are based upon what I am doing and focusing upon at the time. Each lens seems to inspire the next.
For more information about witchcraft
Pagan Witch
Most would say that I am not the stereotypical witch. No black clothes. I'm not loaded down with tons of jewellery. I don't even wear a pentagram (Gasp! Shock!)
I'm just the average mum down the road, taking her kids to school each day, baking cookies ... well, maybe not so much of the baking.-
