Reiki Energy Healing
In 1998 after much consideration I studied and obtained the Master level in Reiki. Beyond being able to channel a greater flow of energy for healing, I am able to teach others. I have only taught a handful of people, including my husband and my oldest son. When my youngest, Thing 2, is older I plan on teaching him as well as he is showing a natual affinity towards healing.
At the end of 2008 I came to the decision that I was ready to begin offering Reiki to others outside of friends and family. And so, I started Kolnza Reiki Healing
Using Reiki in My Life
It's not just for healing
Since learning Reiki and becoming a Reiki Master I have incorporated the use of Reiki into many parts of my life.I use it while cooking.
A touch of Reiki energy into the cooking pot, I think, just makes everything taste that little bit nicer and helps to make sure that what I give my family is the best for them I can provide.
I use it in spellcasting
I carve the symbols onto candles or write them on parchment as part of a spell. I will also charge a symbol in my mind then send it through my hand into a spell as I am creating it.
I use the Master's symbol to build up energy within myself to be released when a spell is cast.
I use it with the Law of Attraction
The Reiki Principles are very much in line with the tenets of the Law of Attraction.
I use it for sleep
If I am having trouble sleeping, I use Reiki to help me relax enough to sleep.
Years ago, when I worked night shift, I used Reiki a lot to condense several hours sleep into the 1 or 2 hours I actually had available for sleeping on some days. I wouldn't recommend this for long-term, but as a one-off it was very helpful.
Reiki and the Family
MUMMY!
My husband and I are both Reiki Masters. We have a nearly tangible connection of energy between us. Useful because he has to travel a lot on his job and we can be apart from a few days to several weeks depending on where he is going and what work needs to be done. If either of us needs a boost, we know we can draw upon the other. My middle son has Asperger's Syndrome and provided I can be subtle about it, Reiki energy is very helpful in calming him down when he is feeling anxious and stressed. He has very strong natural shields and if I try to push through them forcefully, he only puts them up stronger. His father has the strength to push through those shields if need be, but I have to take a more round about approach.
Since I can't send it to him through touching him with my hands most times, I have learned to send it through my entire body. By spreading the energy flow over a larger surface area, I am able to get it in through his barriers.
I once was able to send it via the ethereal umbilical connection he had with me. Unfortunately, as he grows older, that connection is naturally growing weaker.
When he was an infant and a toddler, I used to send it via breastmilk as he was nursing.
My youngest is showing talents as a natural healer and we encourage that. When he gets hurt, I will use Reiki to draw the "ouch" out of him and into my hand. He then gets to blow it away. No more hurt. We have heard him using this same technique when he is alone.
Sounds interesting.

- Awesome lens, definitely 5 stars for this lens. Oh by the way just to add on your very informative post: EFT is a method of energy healing that is swiftly applied, direct, versatile and readily measurable. For all these reasons, I would recommend the method for anyone interested in healing work.
I was actually exposed to the method before I even knew what it was. While I was in a group having EFT training to absorb information faster I was taught a technique to release and eliminate the over-critical thoughts and behavior we engage in when trying to learn something new. This made the learning process itself a lot more fun, and naturally that sped up my comprehension.
Much later, I was exploring different ways of dealing with emotional pain and inner resistance. I'd mapped out a few different things to try and one was, you might have guessed, the same method from before. Only then had I discovered the name.

- As a fellow Reiki Master (Kundalini) and a fellow Lensmaster here at the great Squidoo, It is such a pleasure to see others writing about this amazing Healing Art!
I too use my Reiki training and the energy in conjunction with The Law of Attraction - it fits perfectly! For me, one enhances the other.
What a wonderful Lens!
Blessings,
Frank Dickinson (Peaceful Paths)
