The Kozmikfish lens
This lens has been created in connection with my new website kozmikfish.co.uk and a blog. The main purpose is to promote and improve my writing with particular emphasis on writing scripts for radio and television.
Ideally, it will all act as a central meeting place to allow people to network, discuss, collaborate and just enjoy the pleasure of creative writing.

Amelie
Just a great movie. Great casting, good music, wonderful plot line. Not heavy or serious and I suspect a few film lovers would dismiss it as light and fluffy but it just cheers me up when I watch it. What greater thing can something do than elevate your mood!
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not
The dark side of Amelie! (or Audrey) Really good film, probably my favourite Tautou film.
The Sergio Leone Anthology (A Fistful Of Dollars / For A Few Dollars More / The Good, The Bad And The Ugly / Duck, You Sucker)
Loved these as a boy, still think they are good movies. Westerns at their best. One could argue they reinvigorated the genre of the western, they certainly added new strands to it.
Manon of the Spring (Manon des sources) - Original Theatrical Version [Import, All-Region] (Dvd)
A great film. The final scenes just turn things on their head, great cinema.
Cinema Paradiso (Two-Disc Deluxe Edition)
A film about film, lovingly shot, well directed. Great cinema.

Silent Running
I remember seeing this film for the first time and been struck by it. For a film to rely on just one actor is a real challenge for both actor and director. The only inter-personal relationship being created by the interaction with three robots. A poignant tale of ecological theme with a soundtrack featuring the voice of Joan Baez.
Pan's Labyrinth
Love the Fairy tale aspect and the different ways this film can be read. It could all just be in the mind of the girl or...
Once you watch a few of this director's films you become familiar with re-occurring themes present in his work that add to the richness and meanings within the film.
The Devil's Backbone (Special Edition)
In some ways I preferred this to Pan's Labyrinth. Not a massive fan of the horror genre but these films have a certain texture that elevates them from the rest.
A Very Long Engagement
I just like Audrey Tautou! This is a lovely film. A rich cinematic style and a good story.
The Fisher King
I am interested in Arthurian Mythology and The Grail Legend and this film has a very interesting take on these themes.

Mulholland Drive
I enjoy cinema that plays with time, perceptions of reality and that challengers the viewer to engage with it.
Donnie Darko - The Director's Cut (Two-Disc Special Edition)
As above really.
Brazil
I realise there is a bit of a theme with director's I like!
8 Women
Now there is an eclectic taste! Brazil followed by 8 women! It is just an interesting use of the cinematic medium, has some great casting and a film well worth watching. Anything with Emmanuelle Beart is worth watching in my opinion.
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (Widescreen Edition)
Another "Messing with your head" film! Guess part of me wishes I could erase a few people from my mind.
