The Krispy Kreme Burger Recipe

Also Known As The Lady's Brunch Burger on Paula's Home Cooking Show

An easy-to-prepare if-you-dare recipe, it should take about 10 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to cook.

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley leaves
2 tablespoons grated onion
House Seasoning, recipe follows
2 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
6 slices bacon, cooked
3 hamburger buns or 3 English muffins or 6 glazed donuts

DIRECTIONS:

Mix the ground beef, chopped parsley and grated onion together in a large mixing bowl. Season liberally, with House Seasoning. Form 3 hamburger patties.

Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Add the burgers and cook until desired temperature, 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.

Fry bacon in a hot pan until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels. Set aside.

While burgers are cooking, heat a non-stick pan, over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter. Crack 3 eggs into the pan. Cook until the yolks are just set and still slightly runny and remove.

Place burger patties on English muffins or buns, and if desired, on glazed donuts, as the buns. Top each burger with 2 pieces of bacon and a fried egg.

HOUSE SEASONING:

1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Serves three people.

The Cuisinart Hamburger Patty Maker Set Will Help You Make Perfect Krispy Kreme Burgers

That is, if you dare to prepare this highly unusual recipe!

Cuisinart Hamburger Patty Maker Set

"This product was well worth the money in comparison to similar brands that are more expensive. Since it only comes with 4 covered burger containers I purchased 2 sets. Not only did it double the containers but it allowed someone to assist if you had a lot to make. I just made a batch last night. I have some in the individual containers and the rest in a large one with the hamburger parchment paper between the burgers." ~~ Jeri E.

Krispy Kreme Burger -- Do You Think That Restaurants Should Be Able To Make Temptations Like This One?

Do you think that restaurants should be allowed to create items like the Krispy Kreme Cheddar Bacon Cheeseburger of Delight despite the health implications?

Loading Fetching blurbs now... please stand by

Yes. If people want it, I think they should be able to make it.

Janet says:

THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF FREEWILL!!! WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO SAY, "YES" or "NO". NO ONE IS SHOVING FOOD DOWN OUR THROATS. WE MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR OWN ACTIONS.

Greg says:

Of course. This isn't Nazi Germany; if you want to make an unhealthy treat for yourself or consenting customers, you should be able to do it. On a side note, I also think that people should be able to commit suicide and use whatever drugs they so desire. I guess I just love freedom.

The_Colorful_Squid says:

YES. and it's our choice if we want to eat or buy them or not.

kab says:

We are talking America right? Land of the FREE???

kathysart says:

Absolutely! If someone wants to eat their way to poor health restaurant choices are not going to slow them down.

kathysart says:

Absolutely! If people want to eat their way into bad health that is up to them. The only prerequisite is that society is not called upon to pay for their medical bills.

RuralRoute2 says:

You bet restaurants should have creative menu items!

My favorite restaurant has a "Mr. Personality Special" for breakfast.

2 eggs, 8 ounce hamburger steak, hashbrowns, whole wheat toast with strawberry jelly and chocolate milk.

chefkeem says:

Man, this sounds good! I don't care about restaurants, I'll make this myself. That way I can use triple-cream Cambozola as the cheese and a dollop of sour cream on top! Then I'd dip the whole thing in batter and deep-fry it. Serve it with a cup of Creme Anglaise on the side...make that a small cup, though!

BeautifulDreamer says:

Why not? They sell monte cristo sandwiches. Just because I wouldn't eat it doesn't mean you can't!

KimGiancaterino says:

Sure... people should be able to eat whatever they like. This is no worse than some of the garbage on our grocery store shelves.

No, I think the health implications are simply too big.

Intuitive says:

Well, since this is a democracy they should be free to do whatever. But, on the other hand, I think all junk food should be outlawed, at least the premade kind. And hospitals should serve only healthy food in their cafeterias and to their patients. In a perfect world, that is.

Greg says:

NO! This should be illegal, even to make at home. People cannot be trusted to make the right choices; the government must step in to help them. Making this legal is like making marijuana legal -- people should not be allowed to make bad choices for themselves.

Hamburger America: One Man's Cross-Country Odyssey to Find the Best Burgers in the Nation DVD & Book By George Motz

George Motz travelled America and chronicled 100 hamburger locales in 39 states. In this book, he tells of each one with love and with full-color portraits. This book contains a copy of the DVD, which was actually released first. The book is available alone at about the same cost as this combo.

Hamburger America: One Man's Cross-Country Odyssey to Find the Best Burgers in the Nation [DVD]

"Hamburger America is a tour through America highlighting some of the author's favorite burgers and burger joints. But more than that, through the interviews with the myriad shop owners and burger slingers I sense the joy that comes from being a business owner in America. The freedom to choose a menu, the freedom to assemble ingredients, the freedom to set prices and hours. And because these Americans are free to pursue their dreams they prosper while providing a great product that makes many people very happy." ~~ Donald Willaims

"Hats off to the evil genius that came up with this preposterously nauseating concoction. It is truly, breathtakingly repellent. I have one question though; why not go for broke and also deep fry the whole hideous mass. Just a thought."
