Kristin Armstrong - Idaho's Olympic Gold Medalist
They call her "Idaho's Hometown Hero".
Who is Kristin Armstrong? She is a very inspiring person who has overcome physical problems and went on to win a Gold Medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Bejing. A professional road bicycle racer and Olympic gold medalist, the winner of the Women's Time Trial at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
But mostly she is an inspiration to so many others. A very strong, determined woman who has accomplished a lot in her life, despite some bad news, she says "What I thought was a nagging injury turned into a life-changing diagnosis," explains Armstrong. "In June 2001 I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips."

"MENDRISIO, Switzerland -- Kristin Armstrong won the women's time trial at the road cycling world championships Wednesday, then confirmed she will retire after competing in this weekend's road race."

- It's always exciting to see another Kristin that spells her name right. (Ha, most people spell my name with an "e" because it's the more common spelling) She sounds amazing!! What a wonderful lens about her accomplishments.

- Great lens. I love 'hero' lenses like this, it's what Squidoo is about to me. I didn't know much about her, but now I do and definitely admire her. I'm ashamed to say that although I follow men's road cycling, I don't know much about the women's.

- This is great and a good lens to do. We need more lenses like these of local heros. then a group made to have all our local heros there. I think kids should read these to let them know that there are a lot of heros out there. 5***** I would give you 10 stars if I could.
