Spiritual Empowerment (Kuji-In)

For centuries, the spiritual practices of Ninjutsu called Kuji-In have been kept a closely guarded secret. Now, Kuji-In, the key to Ninja super powers, is made available to the public. This is the key to the secret arts of invisibility, super-strength, rapid healing, and fast movement. It has never been a strictly ninja secret, as samurai and Chinese and Indian monks used Kuji-In well before it ever made it to Japan.

This instruction also assumes that you have a basic knowledge of the chakra system. While the locations of the chakras used are given, it's assumed that you already have a good idea of what they look like.

Mandalas are images used as focal points during meditation. Many mandalas can be quite complex, but for our purposes, the kanji for the name of each meditation suits it perfectly and prepares you for Kuji-Kiri--the sorcery aspect of this practice. You would stare at or visualize the image of the kanji while performing the other acts. If this is doing too many things at once for you, get comfortable with the other aspects of the practice before applying the mandala gazing and visualizations.

Rin Kyo To Sha Kai Jin Retsu Zai Zen

Kuji for the Root Chakra: Rin

Kuji to Develop Self-Trust / Faith. Strength of body and mind.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Vajramanataya Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON BAI SHI RA MAN TO YA SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Hail the thunderbolt of glory. Om!
Mudra: Dokko In (Vajra) Hands together, cross all fingers, but extend the middle finger.

Meaning: To face, confront

At first this may appear to be physical strength and mental intellect but maybe we can think of this as being physically well and having a positive outlook.

Rin Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Navel Chakra: Kyo

Kuji to Develop Mastery / Responsibility. Direction of energy.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Isha Naya Yantraya Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON I SHA NA YA IN TA RA YA SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Hail the instrument of divine righteousness. Om!
Mudra: Daikongo In. Hands together, cross all fingers, point the index, middle finger over the indexes touch tip of thumbs.
Visualization: Visualize your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus on the navel chakra
Meaning: The soldier, to soldier on.

To begin this may seem to refer to directing your energies into work but later it could be that you see it as a way of directing your internal energy to increase your inner power.

Kyo Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Abdominal Chakra: Toh

Kuji to Develop Harmony / Inner peace.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Jitrashi Yatra Jiva Ratna Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON JI RE TA RA SHI I TA RA JI BA RA TA NO-O SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Hail the exultant and glorious celestial jewel. Om!
Mudra: Sotojishi In. Hands together, interlock all fingers, but extend thumb, ring and pinky.
Visualization: Visualize your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus inside the abdomen (dan-tian)
Meaning: To fight, to battle with.

This can work on many levels from learning to live in peace with mankind and the animal kingdom to being at one with yourself.

Toh Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Solar Plexus Chakra: Sha

Kuji to Develop Healing / Power. Heal self and others.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Haya Vajramanataya Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON HA YA BAI SHIRA MA NA TA YA SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Hail the swift thunderbolt of noble exalted strength, virtue, and glory Om!
Mudra: Uchijishi In. Hands together, cross all fingers, but extend thumb, index and pinky.
Visualization: Visualize your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus on the solar plexus
Meaning: The man (or people), a foe; against one person.

The ability to heal is more powerful than the ability to kill. When you sense your inner power you will no longer succumb to viruses and other ailments. A word to those that would use their powers to harm others: "It is easy to kill a man, but could you watch one die?"

Sha Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Heart Chakra: Kai

Kuji to Develop Compassion / Love. Premonition of danger.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Namah Samanta Vajranam Ham.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON NO-O MA KU SAN MAN DA BA SA RA DAN KAN
Mantra: (English) Homage to the all-pervading diamond thunderbolt. Utterly crush and devour! Om!
Mudra: Gebakuken. Hands together, cross all fingers, hands closed on each other.
Visualization: Visualize your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus on the heart chakra
Meaning: The all, or the whole effect, or the whole effort; with everyone, the entire group.

If this cut is fully achieved you may find that you can feel the emotions of others (even at a distance) which can aid in knowing how others will react in a given situation.

Kai Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Throat Chakra: Jin

Kuji to Develop Knowledge / Understanding. Knowing the thoughts of others.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Agnaya Yanmaya Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON AGA NA YA IN MA YA SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Hail the glory of the God of the Sacred Fire. Om!
Mudra: Naibakuken. Hands together, cross all fingers inside the palms.
Visualization: Visualize your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus at the base of the throat chakra
Meaning: In Formation, or position in camp or to prepare; the formation.

Achieving adepthood with this Kuji confers the ability to "feel" thoughts. Not just revealing the thoughts of other to you, but also cloaking your thoughts from others.

Jin Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Median Aperture Chakra: Retsu

Kuji to Develop Dimensions / Awareness. Mastery of time and space.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Jyotihi Chandoga Jiva Tay Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON HI RO TA KI SHA NO GA JI BA TAI SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Hail the radiant divine all-illuminating light bursting and streaming forth in all directions. Om!
Mudra: Chiken In. Hands together, close left fist, point left index up, wrap left index with right hand, touch index tips and right thumb.

Meaning: To move in column or a row, in a line; or marching, or to focus; in a row.

Think of this...Have you ever noticed how the day has passed quickly for others but has taken an age for you? Everybody has the ability to control their own "time" With this power one could use it to easily defeat an opponent.

Retsu Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Third Eye Chakra: Zai

Kuji to Develop Creativity / Manifestation. Control of forces of nature.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om Srija Iva Ritaya Swaha.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON CHI RI CHI I BA RO TA YA SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Creating with perfection and glory. Om!
Mudra: Nichirin In. Hands together, touch index and thumb tips (forming a triangle), and extend both hands palms forward.
Visualization: Visualize your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus on the third eye
Meaning: To appear, or to exist to make yourself known, or create existence; to Presence.

Can one truly control nature? Maybe the real answer is that a Ninja understands nature and works with it.

Zai Kanji Mandala

Kuji for the Crown Chakra: Zen

Kuji to Develop Illumination / Absolute, Invisibility.

Mantra: (Sanskrit) Om A Ra Pa Ca Na Dhi.
Mantra: (Japanese) ON A RA BA SHA NO-O SO WA KA
Mantra: (English) Has no meaning. It's the equivalent of reciting the ABCs, as if to affirm our smallness in relation to the Universe.
Mudra: Ongyo In. Right hand covering left hand. Thumb tips touching.
Visualization: Visualise your energy body set on fire from your base chakra. Focus on the crown chakra
Meaning: To be in front. or show up in front; to move forward.

Know yourself before you ask "Who are you?" As the Sufis say: "If you can go ten minutes without a conditioned reaction, then you are illuminated".
