Julie Drapkin won Kids Girls Wushu Grand Champion at Nick Scrima's International Chinese Martial Arts Tournament in Orlando, May 2007. Only 8 yrs old, she competed only against older boys in 12 & under competition, beating them in two out of three events to win gold in advanced Wushu hand forms & short weapons, silver in long weapons. Also won silvers in Pee Wee Advanced traditional forms and weapons and gold in sparring for six medals. She trains at Shaolin KungFu Academy, Pembroke Pines, with Sifu John Vanegas.
