When I was in Siberia this was one of the nicest Lada Niva's that I saw. The reputation of the Lada Niva as a rugged vehicle remains and I saw many examples of the Lada Niva in the streets. However in todays Russia the Lada Niva is considered very much a mans car for camping and sporting in the woods and is no longer considered a people carrier for general use. Many women commented they hate to drive the Lada because of the manual steering.

- Not to worry the lense is slowly growing and content is being added , Lada parts are a big deal to many Niva owners and some of links and such are of value as is the eBay seller from Hungary ;)
I hope to include much more photography of Nivas on my next trip to Russia , and I may purchase a Canadian Niva but they are rare as owners dont wish to part with them ;)

- My son is about to buy a lada Nive Cossack, are they a good vewhicle to have, for highway and back roads ?? Any feedback would be helpful. We have a mechanic close by who works on ladas.

- Lada Niva is one of the best cars in the world for its price for going down the back roads ,it has excellent suspension ,ground clearance ,its sturdy and well proven vehicle for off road and country roads.
For highway? Its rubbish ,underpowered ,noisy,short wheel base stay in slow lane and drive conservative ,it will be good on gas at least....the Lada Niva is designed for back roads ,country roads and off road.

- Well the Zenn , is very nice ,who wouldn't want an electric vehicle as a runabout....but its hardly a SUV....or 4x4.

- This is a really good car. Of course when you are using it as a 4x4 should be > on trails, in the forest, mud snow and such stuff. It can handle anything. It's not very good on roads and not convenient at all, but who cares for that money :}
