Founder Coco Chanel's initials have been the brands logo since 1910. An authentic CC bag has two interlocking C's back to back without any serif. A serif means the bag is a replica as well as the top hook of the C on the right overlaps the top hook of C on left and not the other way around. This is a huge detail.In 1988 Chanel started using a hologram sticker on the interior of all their handbags. This sticker is one that can't be removed whole. If you try to peel it off it will be piece by piece, a task not done easily. On the hologram sticker is the Chanel logo and a serial number that matches the one on the authenticity card.

The simplest way in determining authenticity would be examining the layout of the signature C's. The C's should be lined up perfectly to the center.Also, if the pattern is not the famous Coach signature C, but rather a different letter, such as the letter G or an O, then it's an obvious fake.
Coach dust bags should be a dark chocolate brown with red drawstring. In the bottom right it reads: "COACH EST.1941" in all white caps.
