How Ladybug Got Her Name
We have 4 kids, and when we took ladybug in, she didn't have a name yet. She was only about 10 weeks old.We have 4 kids, so naturally names were flying around and being blurted out at the speed of light...well not really, but it seemed like it. Picture 4 excited kids all trying to talk at the same time. It was quite a sight...er...maybe I should say sound.
Finally over all the noise, one of them yelled out "Lady!" (Now you need a little background on my 4 year old, who had been increasingly enchanted with ladybugs all that spring; every time she walked outside she was on her little backyard safari to find a ladybug).
When she heard lady shouted out, she immediately tacked "bug" on to the end of it, shouting "Ladybug!" She wouldn't hear of calling her just lady, so from that moment on, our newfound family member became our Ladybug.

Ladybug's Favorite Games
Ladybug loves to drag her stuffed dalmation dog toy around the yard. That is one of her favorite toys. The other favorite toy of hers is her tennis ball. She loves for us to throw the ball as hard as we can across the yard, and she leaps and bounces across the yard after it and brings it back for us to throw again.
Another thing, she doesn't just run after the ball, she bounds after it... taking big bouncy leaps at top speed through the yard. She looks like she has springs in her feet! She is very funny and has a cute personality. I think we tire out long before she does!

I Think It Is Important To Spay Or Neuter Your Pet!
Sound off and let me know what you think!
Do you think it's important to have your pet spayed or neutered?

Yes, I think it is very important!
Ladymermaid says:
No question on this one. Spaying or neutering your pet saves lives.
BevsPaper says:
Yes, a pet should be neutered or spayed unless you plan to breed them or you have the means to raise all of those litters yourself.
VickiSims says:
Yes, far too many pets die in shelters for lack of a home. Spaying and neutering prevents accidently bringing more unwanted pets into the world.
HorseAndPony says:
Yes. There are too many unwanted animals.
SquidooKimberly says:
Since seeing the wonderful personality change in my two cats after having them respectively spayed and neutered, I'll never again have an unspayed/neutered cat. Plus, if I had known about the issues with mammary gland tumors in dogs who are not spayed and don't have puppies, you can bet I would have gotten my older dog spayed. Her tumor was cancerous but she's doing fine so far. My 10-week-old Brittany Spaniel will be getting neutered for Christmas. Sorry pup. :)
No, I think it is not always appropriate.
