Finding the right Laguna Beach hotel, California

Once California's most affluent and luxurious beach areas, Laguna Beach, seems to get a lot of attention these days. Being nestled in the heart of California's ever popular strip of beaches, the Laguna Beach area has drawn international acclaim due to a popular teen tv show which shares the same. The impacts that the hugely popular tv show "Laguna Beach" have had on this area's tourism trade are admirable, and the local retailers, restaurants and hotels are extremely grateful for the tremendous amount of positive exposure generated as a result.

I'm young, a keen surfer and traveller, and like the thought of rubbing shoulders with the who's who of California, so recently I began planning a trip to Laguna Beach. Unfortunately, the rapid increase in Laguna's status as a highly desirable place to holiday and 'be seen', has also left the average punter vulnerable, as Laguna Beach hotels are riding the popularity wave by setting some very hefty room rates!

So I've decided to do some research to work out how my money will best be spent. After speaking to several locals, and frequent Laguna Beach vacationers, I've managed to put together a rather comprehensive guide which covers the finest Laguna Beach resorts and beach front Laguna hotels, all the way through to the cheap Laguna Beach hotels and budget motels. Hopefully you can benefit from my research (which actually took quite a few hours - but if you have seen the photos of Laguna's best beaches, sunsets, and white sands, you'll understand why the research wasn't such a chore!)
