Laila Azhar

Ranked #14,876 in Fashion & Beauty, #303,659 overall

Urban design at its best

Born in Morocco, Laila Azhar moved to the United States at the age of 5.
It wasn't all fashion at once, she studied at the McGill University in Montreal, Canada and got her degree in biology. After those studies, she completely switched her career to the fashion industry, and even moved to New York in pursue of this dream. She joined the Parsons School of Design after which she worked for 2 years in the fashion industry.

After the studies and after having picked up the traits of the business, Laila Azhar decided it was time to start on her own, and in 2005 her first collection saw the daylight.

Laila Azhar designs for the contemporary woman with more focus on construction than on trends. This makes her designs compelling, practical and modern but not subject to decay or changing trends.
