They were welcomed warmly by the chef, who showed them what was on the menu. How's that for small town service?

He seemed pretty excited about that night's special.

However, our friends were hoping for something different to eat, so the chef sat down for a bit to contemplate.

Then he seemed to get an idea! He called the dog in, and gave him some instructions our friends couldn't quite hear.

Our friends were a little bit surprised when the dog returned with what looked like a human arm. But the chef was delighted!

Good boy!

The chef then asked if our friends would prefer this menu option.

With the chef taking a sample, it did look pretty good, but apparently our friends were still interested in something different, so they carried on to the next roadside diner to see what they had on the menu.

This place looked pretty decent, too, but they were more interested in dining with people, not on them.

When they left that diner, they ran into this group of locals who looked like they'd know where a good place to eat and socialize might be.

They were then directed to a party at L'eq'amel First Nations Band office down the road, where they ate and danced and had a great night out in Lake Errock.
