Magical Summers

When I was a child my family traveled every Summer to Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire where we would spend two glorious weeks camping, boating, and playing with friends at Camp Wabanaki.

This is only the beginning of my walk down memory lane so please bear with me as I remember...

FRIENDS -- Because we went every year at the same time we always met up with many old friends from all around the U.S. and Canada
GAMES -- There were softball games and volleyball matches every day plus tennis, badminton, horseshoes and anything else we could dream up to do
WATER -- We spent a lot of time on the water, swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing
CAMP FIRES -- Every night a different family would host the camp fire. Good times and good food.

More memories...

HIKING -- OK, this wasn't among my favorite memories but we always went on hikes up and down mountains
RAIN -- While I have many sun-drenched memories as well there always seemed to be a good couple of days just full of rain
SWIMMING TO THE RAFT -- It was a real right-of-passage to be old enough to swim out to the raft as that is where all the big kids and adults hung out
STANDING ON THE ROCK -- There was a large rock out in the deep water that (if you could find it) you could stand on. I can remember hanging out there with my friends before we were old enough to swim to the raft.

Ossipee Lake is so beautiful place .. dear, Deanna. I love to visit .. one day. 5 stars for this lens and you. If I have time to build my new lens about New Hampshire posters, I'll add this of yours as my featured lens. Have a wonderful life times .. dear, lovely Deanna :)
