Chick arguably added more phrases to the English language than anyone since Shakespeare! A few examples:

Air Ball - a shot which misses even the rim and the backboard

Finger Roll - a shot whcih rollssmoothly off the shooter's fingers

Garbage Time - the end of a game in which the outcome is no longer in doubt

Give And Go - a pass which is quickly returned after a quick cut to the basket

It's In The Refrigerator - the game is as good as won

The Mustard's Off The Hot Dog - an unnecessarily flashy play which results in a missed opportunity or a turnover

Nervous Time - the final moments of a close game

No Harm, No Foul - a non-call after incidental contact

No Look Pass - a pass made without looking at the target

Pressure Cooker - a point at whcih the outcome of the game is at stake

Slam Dunk - a rim-shaking throw-down shot

Ticky-Tack Foul - a foul called after incidental contact

Triple-Double - double digits in three or more statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocked shots)

Yo-Yoing Up And Down - standing still, dribbling
