The Gondola At Heavenly is a very beautiful ride. It serves both skiers in the winter and summer sightseers alike. It's a 15 minute ride to the scenic overlook at at the mid-station, with the best view of Lake Tahoe you'll get without lots of hiking. Here's a photo of Lake Tahoe from this great overlook.

Take a nice walk around the Heavenly Gondola mid-deck. It's 1/6th of a mile around the deck. Every few feet along the railing, there are pillars aimed at points of interest around the lake.

When your done shooting photos, check out the gift shop and board the gondola to the top, about a 5 minute ride. There are a number of great hiking trails and a nice restaurant.

Then back on the gondola for a non-stop ride down and your done. It takes 20 minutes to get back to the bottom. Enjoy the great view of Lake Tahoe and town on the way down.
