2007 Murcielago LP640

When it came to designing the 2007 Murcielago LP640 Lamborghini design team did their job to make sure that the traditional look and feel of the supercar was not disturbed.

Specs For Murcielago LP640

It has a more aggressive edge to it with its new rear and front bumpers that help its appearance. The exhaust system equipped on the cat is terminal and is incorporated into the diffuser that is located on the rear bumper. The area behind the air intake on the right side of the Lamborghini is almost closed and the left sides is equipped with a vast aperture for cooling off the oil radiator.

Chassis And Frame

The exterior body of the LP640 has the traditional scissor doors that was created from prized union sheet steel and also the honeycombed carbon fiber. Together the two were glued and riveted together.

New springs and stabilizers increase the stability and handling of the car when driving at high speeds. A redesigned electronically controlled damper also helps to improve on this. The "anti-squat" and "anti-dive" features on the axles prevent "brake squatting and diving".

A Powerful Engine

The engine has been given a few modifications. The increased bore and longer stroke has helped to increase the displacement of the 60° classic 6.2 - 6.5 liter V-engine. This means that the 580 bhp engine power is now increased to an amazing 640 bhp at 8,000 rpm. The 12-cylinder engine reaches a maximum torque of 487 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm.

Interior

The seats in the interior of the LP640 have been transformed more then anything we have seen on the 2007 model. There is more space and the seats have been built with remodeled head restraints and have been built to add to the comfort level of the car. The leather stitching is a lozenge-shaped stitching called "Q-citura". This design is also used on the door panels, roof panel, and engine compartment.
