21st Century Zombies

Land of the Dead (2005) is the fourth movie in what is known as the 'Living Dead' series by George A. Romero.

This was the first movie in the 'Living Dead' series to use digital effects and the budget for the film was Romero's biggest yet. The zombies in this film are also the most evolved of the series, working together, using weapons and communicating with each other (with grunts of course :p).

Due to the fact that this movie is less than 10 years old it has yet to be remade but if the previous films in the series are any indication, it is only a matter of time.

    Agreed!
    Zombies should not be running.
Save that for the infected quasi-zombies from movies like 28 Days Later.

By no means Romero's best zombie film (I recommend Night closely followed by Diary), but still a welcome return. It's been mentioned by someone else, but I don't generally agree with the 'evolving' zombie, much in the same way as I don't agree with the running zombie. The zombie stops being a zombie when it thinks or runs...

I love zombie films because they are no longer human, they have no sole and can be killed without remorse.
This film tries to re-humanise them, zombies that think & feel? No No No!
that is why i gave this film 2 out of 10.

I couldn't have re-animated all this on my own :)
