Facts On The Island Of Lanzarote
Lanzarote is the most easterly out of all the Canary Islands. Its based north of Fuerteventura and is around 1,050 kilometers from mainland Spain. Its located 128 kilometers from the African coast and is 60 kilometres long and 20 kilometres wide making Lanzarote the fourth largest out of all the Canary Islands. The island has an estimate of 300 volcanoes yet is the least mountainous of the Canary Islands. The highest point of the Island is only 700 metres above sea level.
