Let the sun shine down on you

It's not called "the island of eternal spring" for no reason, Lanzarote boasts the most consistent sunny climate of all 7 Canary Islands.
Miles of sandy beaches and ancient volcanic landscapes are all bathed in year round sunshine, and because Lanzarote is one of the smaller islands, it is blessed with a soothing breeze, pretty near perfect really.

Just think of the weather and smile

As another British summer disolves into a wet let down, many eyes will gaze longingly at the Canary Islands, and where could be better than Lanzarote. Year after year it has proved its case as the most consistent climate of all the islands, that means, summer or winter, the sun is your constant companian.

PICK YOUR FAVOURITE SPOT
With so much to enjoy, you will need a good place to stay, and Sands Beach Resort Hotel in Costa Teguise ticks all the boxes. Half way down the east coast, Costa Teguise has a wealth of large sandy beaches protected by rocky headlands, and Sands Beach Resort Hotel is at the beachfront with its own sea water lagoon to delight all families.

SO HOW GOOD IS THE WEATHER?
Lay back and bask in these figures. On average, Lanzarote only experiences 16 rainy days per year, that's just 140 mm of rainfall. As for sunshine, your looking at 11 hours a day at the peak summer time between June and August, with temperatures ranging from 21 centigrade in January to 29 centigrade in August. Fancy a dip in the sea? well that ranges from 18 to 23 centigrade.

ENJOY SOME SAFE TANNING
The mild alisio wind that wafts across Lanzarote from the north east can mislead you to the real strength of the sun, so be careful, use sun protection and be especially careful with the young ones. Moving inland or up into the hills, the temperature will drop a little and the breeze can pick up a bit, so if you go exploring, take a little top with you. But most of all, enjoy the sun and the relaxing mood of Lanzarote - another cold drink? that sounds just wonderful.
