- What a great use of foldables. I love to see foldables in use in the classroom and with homeschooling parents. Fun Foldables for Young Scientist is a great foldable resource for all educators. For more great options check out www.ActivitiesToTeach.com There are hundreds more worksheets, educational games and creative 3D paper model makers for science and other classes.

- Hi Jimmie, thanks so much for putting this together with the definitions, comparisons, and pictures. I was talking to some friends recently about lapbooks. They wanted to know more about how to put them together with notebooks, so, I'll be sending them here. Great job as usual!

- Veeerry interesting. I didn't know what lapbooking was at all, and finally came over here to get the scoop.
I like it!
I can immediately see how one could use the web to make art and items geared for kids to use in these things.

- I like to think of lapbooks as learning scrapbooks - I love 'em. And I think they enrich/encourage/develop creative skills.

- We use a spiral notebook and include diagrams and printed text glued in next to my daughter's writing. It is not exactly a lapbook, but my daughter doesn't write all the text, so it isn't exactly a notebook either. Oh well, it works for us!
Great article! http://www.deldobuss.wordpress.com

- Hmmm, don't they refer to some laptops as notebooks? That's what gets confusing for the consumer because a notebook can be a 'computer.' I don't mind a laptop, but I simply CAN'T type on one without a mouse and keyboard.
