Laptop Tip # 1: Surge Protect Your Laptop
The cheapest $10 you will ever spend
99% of people use a surge bar but how many of you laptop users use a surge bar when you have your laptop plugged in?
I would guess not many of you.
You need to remember that a laptop is just like a regular computer and is susceptible to surges. In some respects it is more susceptible because it gets plugged in many more places than the plugin in your home - places where you may be more likely to get a surge.
You can buy many laptop surge protectors for just $10, just like the Belkin one pictured here.
Don't forget - surge protect your laptop whenever you have it plugged in.
Laptop Batteries
More power on the go.
When you are on the road or away from power, you will need to use a laptop battery to provide power to your computer. Bring a spare with you to get your work (or play) done.

Laptop Tip #2: Cleaning Your Screen
Because you know someone is going to touch it.
Cleaning your laptop screen is very easy and inexpensive. All you need is a cloth and get it damp with water. Wipe gently over the screen and let dry.
Be sure to never use ammonia on the screen as it will peel off the coating over the LCD screen giving it an oily look.
Buy A Mouse
And save your hand from pain.
Most modern laptops come with a touch pad. It works great in a pinch, but if you use it for a prolonged amount of time, your hand will hurt. The solution to that is our third most popular laptop accessory: the mouse.
