The first key to knowing which notebook to buy is to know your PURPOSE for it. Are you always on the go, and would probably be using it on an airplane, in the office and even at the beach? - Size. A laptop's size spells display size and portability. If you're always on the go and probably will be bringing your laptop with you on the run, best to go for the ultralight, small notebooks. - Memory. Again, the key here is purpose. If you intend to use your laptop for simple applications like email, spreadsheets, and simple word processing, you can settle for a 256 to 512 MB.
