Which Laptop Backpack Notebook Carrier Is Best?
First, the Targus CVR600 Groove Notebook Backpack is a sweet choice because it has all the features that most other carriers leave out. There's plenty of room, and everything is well protected by thick padding. This carrier can accommodate screens up to 15.4" so it should fit most laptops. It has lots of storage up front, with plenty of pockets without looking tacky.
The Targus CVR600 Groove also sports metal clips and zippers, for a secure and long lasting combination. It also has a rugged PVC bottom which helps to protect from damage and general wear and tear. This bag has it all.
My next choice in laptop carriers is the Maxxum Swiss Gear by Wenger Backpack Blue. What I liked about this carrier is that it has lots of interior room, and is a very well made laptop accessory. I found the zippers to be very sturdy, which is an often overlooked feature in these bags. The padding is nice and well balanced, providing plenty of protection.
If it seems you carry a lot of extra things with you, this bag will help you consolidate all of those things in one place. There's a place for your cell phone and any other small accessories you may take with you on the go.

Laptop Backpack Notebook Cases Come in a Variety of Styles
When laptop notebooks first came out, there was absolutely no way anyone could carry one and still look cool. Now, with the laptops being much smaller, and the carriers much more stylish, you don't have to worry about how you look.

The majority of laptop notebook users are going for the over-the-shoulder backpack style carrying case. These have a special fashion which looks more contemporary than the suitcase style laptop cases which were the only choice not so long ago. The colors available will make it easy for you to find a laptop backpack notebook case which suits your tastes.
Along with the colors and styles, you'll notice there are a wide number of brands available, some of which you may be familiar with, such as Belkin, Targus and Wenger. All of these manufacturers have carriers which vary in style and color, and are made with quality in mind.

Laptop Backpack Notebook Features That Matter Most
The thing you want to avoid at all costs when buying a laptop notebook backpack carrier is to fall into the fashion trap. Of course you want to look good, everyone does, but looking good doesn't necessarily mean you'll be investing in a top quality carrier.
You want a bag that's going to protect your laptop and has room for all of the other accessories that go with it. Trust me on this point. You don't want to sling your laptop bag over your shoulder just to have the cheap zipper fail and have your laptop plummet to the cement walkway. Think of what's important.
Shop for quality when purchasing a laptop bag. I'll pass on to you the common sense that myself and others that I know learned the hard way so that you don't find yourself having to shell out the cost of a new laptop.
First and foremost, check the carrier for metal clips and zippers. The plastic clips and zippers may be sturdy looking, but they're more apt to break at inopportune times when loaded. Some of the plastic-toothed zippers will fail if the laptop shifts against them, sending your laptop flying out of its carrier.
The plastic clips may also snap and break without warning, so metal clips are a definite advantage. Also take the time to check how securely the strap is connected at the bottom of the carrier, because you don't want that strap to come out.
Finally, check the padding structure in the carrier. You want a laptop backpack notebook carrier that does an excellent job of protecting its contents. Look at the padding on the straps.
Try it on and see if you think there's adequate padding to feel comfortable on your shoulder while loaded. Sure, a notebook laptop doesn't weigh much, but by the time you add the cords, accessories and books, you're looking at a load that will definitely cut into your shoulder if the straps are too thin. After that, all that's left is for you to make sure all of your things will actually fit in the bag!
