It's Worth Getting a Laptop
Laptop computers have so many advantages over desktops and they are not that much more money. Soon most people will get a laptop instead of a desktop when it is time to get a new computer because the benefits are obvious. People who are just starting out in the IT world, especially those who are considering IT Certification, should familiarize themselves with laptops more so than desktops because they are the wave of the future.
Laptops are Superior
Laptops are now being made better than ever, and you could even get some basic ones for around $800, which is not much more than a good desktop. These machines generally come ready-made with more memory and free space than your average desktop, and they usually have a faster Internet connection with the same Internet provider. Some laptops have a reputation of breaking down after a few years, but the well-made high-quality brands will run well for much longer and even the lesser brands have about the same life-span as a desktop.
Laptops take up much less space and, of course, they are portable, so you could bring your work, music, games and files with you on the road and not have to wait to get back to your house or office to check email. More and more restaurants are getting wireless Internet connections because they know it is going to bring in people who would like to be online while they eat. Soon every business in the country will be wireless because no one will want to be left behind, so it will really pay to get a laptop. Those in the IT world and those looking to get IT Certification Training will also want to have laptops so they could be proficient on all types of computers.
The whole world is quickly moving online and everyone will have to have access to the Internet much more frequently for normal daily functions, so laptops will become the norm and desktops will eventually fade away. If many people could afford a good desktop ten years ago for 1,000 to 1,500 dollars, then they could certainly afford a good laptop now for the the same price. There are many good brands out there, and they let you customize your machine and add on whatever you need. So sell that desktop, invest in a high-quality laptop and watch your productivity rise and your stress drop overnight.
