My money-for-nothing history.
I've been participating in affiliate and referral programs with cash payouts just about as long as I've had the Internet at home.
In the '90s a company called AllAdvantage paid me more than $500 over a period of months to display a revolving banner ad while I surfed ... it was the era of pay-per-click marketing, and a few of my friends were likewise successful in making money doing ... well, nothing.
Then came Epinions and I made money (again, over $500) writing product reviews and even general opinions, as well as referring friends. I stopped writing there when the income fizzled.
I've been successful with Commission Junction, and LinkShare, regularly making over $100 a month in affiliate revenue with my free prints site (recently moved from my own domain to Squidoo), offering coupon codes and the latest savings at many online digital photo sites.
Yes, by helping people get FREE digital photo prints, I'm making money. Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? I giggle every time I deposit a check.
In recent years, I'm CafePress-ing and making $200-$900 monthly off t-shirt designs—as well as getting some of my more artsy friends to try it too, and getting 5% of their first year sales.
Now there's Squidoo, which I love. I started XP's How to Squid blog to show people how to Squidoo for profit.

Read the fine print on each offer. Some require additional purchases to qualify.
Choose offers from companies you trust, or Google information on them before proceeding.
Just be smart! Nothing wrong with being suspicious, but don't be so paranoid that you miss out on great offers!

CASH FOR YOUR REFERRALS
These sites (known as "TRAINN" sites, which is short for Transcendent Innovations, Inc.) are the best reviewed on the web.
The key is to use the referral link of the person who introduced you to TRAINN (for you, that would be me) and then introduce your friends and family to the family of companies through your own referral link.
And do not attempt to cheat by signing up for an offer you do not intend to complete! There are great offers such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Zooba and others to choose from.
