Carry On Luggage and Print Out Information
There are many regulations these days on both carry on luggage and general hold luggage, mainly do to security and health and safety respectely. So it is really sometihng to consider before taking a flight, or infact buying your own luggage.
Luggage Regulations:
Airline - Each Airline will have their own regulations about carry on luggage size, and hold luggage weight, and it is totally down to you to check these before you travel, as it is only you who will lose out. It will either be your belongings that will be confiscated if they are not allowed on-board, your belongings that will have to be paid for in excess weight if you are allowed to take them on-board, or it will be your belongings that will have to be thrown away if you don't want to pay for them. Well, you can't take them home - your flight leaves in a few hours and you'll never make it back in time.
I would seriously recommend that you find their restrictions on carry on Luggage and print them out for reference. Well you need to remember them for the return journey too, and American Airlines hand luggage regulations could well be different to flight luggage regulations for Continental Airlines.
Airport - Each Airport will also have their own regulations for carry-on luggage contents, and personal items and this could be different to your Airline, or not mentioned at all by your Airline (don't forget, Airlines fly to hundreds of different Airports in dozen of countries - all with their own rules and regulations - they can't be expected to cover them all in their brochure or their website.

Luggage Types And Sizes
There are also a few things to consider before buying your skyline luggage sets or your tsa luggage accessories for example - are they suitable for your most used airline, or for your annual family vacation.
Do you need yellow or purple combination luggage straps to make your plain black or blue luggage stand out from all the other plain black or blue luggage - I mean you don't want someone else to be walking off with your bag as it looks identical to theirs do you?
Where can you purchase your Figg luggage replacement parts or get hold or your new accessory strap for piggy back luggage in a hurry? How quickly can you order Tuni luggage parts or Mannatech luggage replacements. Make sure that you have checked these details before your original purchase, otherwise you may have to buy a whole new set, or make do with a jumbled collaction of luggage to carry around!
Whether you want the largest luggage sets you can find for the whole family, plus spares - or ladies and mens small luggage, or even a hawaiian luggage floral print suitcase set, you need to make sure that you can fit everything in, or not fit too much in.
By this I mean that at the moment most UK airports will only allow one piece of carry on luggage per person, so if your beautiful carry on Pierre Cardin luggage is too small for all your personal items - they won't let you take another bag with you with the extra items in - you can only have one in total. It doesn't matter if the extra items are food or drink, they must all be in the one bag only.
And by too large, I mean that no Airline that I kow of will allow you to check in a piece of hold luggage that weighs more than 32kg. It is not deemed safe or fair to expect baggage handlers to move these about anymore, so you will not be allowed to check it in. You can move items between your other luggage to reduce their individual weight, but this limit cannot be overcome for one bag.
