While still living in Largo, I spent a lot of time in Largo Central Park. It is especially beautiful around Christmas. Nicely done!! :)

Largo is definitely one of sites to visit in florida!!
  • Jul 23, 2011 @ 8:00 am | delete
The new playground in Central Park is really cool. The old one was so bad, you needed a tetanus shot after you were done.
  • gary Jul 12, 2011 @ 4:06 pm | delete

Before moving to TN, I lived in Clearwater and St. Pete for 37 years and had no idea of all the fab things to do in Largo. What a great lens---really good job,
  • Bella_Stella Apr 4, 2011 @ 4:07 am | delete
This is an interesting lens. It seems that you have worked very much on it. Congratulations! I really enjoyed this lens!
I am also trying to complete a project with the museums of Greece. I would appreciate it if you stopped there for a while leaving your opinion comments and it would be very important for me if you liked it. Here is my lens http://www.squidoo.com/benaki-museum .

My first Midwest winter in 17 years sure had me missing Florida! Better late than never.... finally compiled my SquidAngel Lens from my 'angel flight' back in the Fall of 2010 :-) So.... returning to tell you that this lens has now been 'featured on' and 'lensrolled to' "SquidAngel Blessings by an Elf".
  • JenniferAkers Mar 16, 2011 @ 12:17 pm | delete
Thank YOU so much for the Angel Blessings!! This is one of my favorite lenses ... about one of my favorite cities. :)
  • greenkat Mar 5, 2011 @ 10:28 pm | delete
LOVE Florida! Thanks for letting me get another glimpse of it!
  • JaguarJulie Dec 21, 2010 @ 7:42 am | delete
Well, my dear ... I sincerely thought that I might be making a trip to Largo, but things have changed and my plans are not going to keep me in the Brooksville "area" in the near future. Merry Christmas to you!
  • poddys Dec 9, 2010 @ 5:47 am | delete
Largo sounds great. I only spent a couple of days in the Tampa area a few years ago, and have been to Naples and Sanibel once, but other than that I am not very familiar with the West Coast of Florida. Would love to go back one day.
  • Wednesday_Elf Nov 2, 2010 @ 12:43 am | delete
I lived in Florida more than 45 years ago -- and STILL miss it. Just left South Carolina and moved to St. Louis to be near family. As I'm about to re-experience a Midwest winter for the first time in 17 years, I envy you the Florida weather!

This was a delightful tour of Largo, Florida. My 8-year-old grandson would especially love riding on the Largo Central Railroad, as he is extremely 'train crazy'. If I ever do get back to Florida, I will definitely have to visit Largo. ~~Blessed by a SquidAngel~~

    Hi Kevin,

Yes, there will be a July 4th Celebration in Largo. It's held at the Largo Central Park - here's the link for the info: Largo Events 4th of July Celebration. Most cities will host their own celebrations, and most visitor attractions are open AND include a 4th of July Fireworks.

Hope you enjoy your weekend here. :-)

I'll be on the next flight! I've been in Orlando, FL and you are not kidding, we landed in between bolts of lightning. I was afraid we'd be fried in the sky. I have fond memories of Florida. 5 star lens as always. Keep up the good work.
